I don't hate it but I notice they get me a lot more. Faster moving bullets can be nicer since they go by faster.

I don't like it because they wont turn the bots on, sigh, I want to base with these nicer settings not have to spend all day in spawn and roof to ensure the lev population stays low.

yeah right now its a novelty to LT and fuck up the basing that used to be there, just like its a novelty to fly around in 8 turret terrs (for whatever reason we have those this weekend)

i don't get what's so "old school" about pub right now. they didn't even remove the anti-lt blocks, let alone revert to an older map. and frankly, for some silly reason, it irks me when people who've played for a year or two at best start getting all nostalgic. nostalgia takes some time to build up, you know? sitting there saying something like, "duuude, you remember twl season 7? oh the memories!" or "sweeet, pub is all old school again!" is kind of a joke when you're still fresh on the scene and haven't experienced enough of the zone's history to really know what the "good 'ol days" were about.

it's along the same lines as people who've just recently gotten into a new genre of music and suddenly they're name dropping all sorts of bands and talking about how great the genre was back in the day.

whether or not removing the lt blocks is the right thing to do is entirely beside my point. i was just using that as an example of just how little this weekend has reverted to any sort of "old school." that's all.

and out of curiosity, did you even play, at all, prior to those blocks being put in place? and i don't mean for a few months or something, i mean a decent chunk of time. do you have any knowledge of a squad called levterr? a player named vult-r? there's quite a bit of history behind lt'ing, and those blocks are a very recent addition to that history.
