Splitting Tourny

Should tourny go the way of elim? Should ?go tourny be for automated wb tournies only, and ?go javtourny be for automated jav tournies only? What about the other random picks the bot makes, like ABS or LT tournies? Discuss :greedy:

I'm tired of tourny being dominated by people voting javs, and half of them can't even play that ship. I enter sometimes and team up with a random newbie and still win even if I can't play that ship.

Throw the other random picks together with the javs.

if you do split it each arena will be 50% less active. Leave it as it is. If the majority of the people want javs, let them jav. Life isn't fair, deal with it.

If it were to be split arenas, then it should be done this way:

2 different tourny arenas:

?go tourny = All ships at the exception of jav and warbird.
?go wjtourny = Warbird / Javelin tourny*

*The reason it should be warbird/javelin in the one arena is to keep population in that arena high, and plus it's almost always 50/50 in normal tourny.

(However, this would make ?go tourny less active, so maybe if during the week it would revert back to tourny as it is) And if a split would be done then I think the ?go tourny arena should have different bases as they are designed more for javs and wbs.

Thx for making this thread aqua, i was going to make one sooner or later. There definitely should be a split, as there are many javs and wbs who want to play their ship.

I've never even seen a tourny actually be TOO full to play... First we need about 80 people in it.

The reason why elim was split was for a necessity. It was not because there were not enough jav games or etc... Just imagine playing a jav elim with 60 other players. First the whine was uncontrollable, then it was just completely impossible to play.

I really doubt there will be a tourny split and I really don't feel the need for one. When tourny starts getting to a point where only half the players can play (up to 36 opponents I believe), then possibly another tourny should be started. But currently, I haven't played in a base elim with over 20 opponents in a long time.

Baseelim is dead. Spit tourny and youve killed Baseelim2. Thats where the jav games go down dont like it go to elim.

i think it will kill tourny, cus atm both jav n wb players sit in spec waitin to see wot has been voted, and even if there chosen game dint come out, theyll play to pass the time. if it was split there wud be hardly any players in each arena just wbs in one and javs int'other. just fix it!

I would say no, because tourny thrives on having a large amount of players.
