I agree, there's not a justification, and I never said black people can't be racist. It's like Chris Rock said---"You want to know who are the MOST racist people? Old black men." Of course, he's embellishing, but I think there's a lot of truth in that statement. My dad, who is Mexican, is racist as hell against whites and jews, and I find it completely upsetting and embarrassing. But I know he's like that because as he was growing up, those were the two groups that he felt most taken advantage by.

But the point of my previous post was, I'm sick of hearing white people talk about a double standard, when they've never had to deal with any serious effects of racism. Let me put it this way----when white people aren't able to get jobs because they're white, or they can't vote because they're white, or start being bought and sold for hundreds of years because they're considered property---that's when I'll start sympathizing with people being called wiggers.

First off, the guy who says whites have no history of taking racial abuse obviously doesn't keep up with any other part of the world. And to say that any given black guy that is alive today and playing ss has ever been MORE of a target for racial abuse than anyone else, basing this judgment solely on the fact that he is in fact black, is a biased statement.

In all honesty, I do not like what TW calls "racist behavior" because generally it's just derogatory (granted I am guilty of it). I can differentiate between joking and seriousness, however. I like the way things are because my friends and I on subspace can still call each other "racial slurs" in good fun since we are on the same chats. There's really no need to say them in pub chat for me since all the people who would get the joke are on chats anyway.

Most of the time people who use those words in pub aren't really doing it for any other reason than to act cool. I'm all for shooting down kids who want to act cool. I say keep it exactly how it is.

Now keep in mind there is a difference between "being" racist and using a racial slur (even if it is meant to insult someone). Racism isn't defined as calling someone a name. It has a meaning deeper than just verbalizing your frustrations towards someone in a derogatory manner that just so happens to be aimed at their race. Racism is in fact believing one race or another to be inferior to one's own.

So you really can't ban anyone for racism. It's totally passive. You can only look for its signs (the slurs).

This is all beside the question of whether or not it's ok to be racist under the correct definition if you are scientifically correct. Of course if I believe that caucasians are genetically smarter than those of African descent or that Africans are genetically stronger, I'm probably not going to get banned because I wouldn't need to use any racial slur or derogatory speech to get that point across in a mature way without stepping on any toes.

So racism in its most base form cannot be banned. You can ban "those who use racial slurs," but you'll end up banning just as many people who are just retards. I'm all about banning idiots, though.

It is my opinion that if you are not fighting against the racism, anti-semitism, and other discrimination in Trench Wars, you are either ignoring it or supporting it. That just shows a lack of maturity and only makes you look worse. Do not compare the holocaust to slavery, or slavery to the racism directed at caucasians. There's no way to compare any of them to eachother, as any such comparison would be biased; they're all just forms of discrimination, and should be condoned by the more mature, intelligent members of this community. To this day, I have been dissapointed by the leadership of who I consider respected members of this community. This is a serious post, and I will consider any snide, rude response to it support of a racist cause.

I was saying you can't ban racism because you will never be able to be strict about it, one staffer bans someone for saying jew, other gives a warning and others don't mind seeing someone on the squad *** and then theres this staffer who doesnt like some guy so bans him because he says asian. Oh yeh, stupid thing too is, I'm just talking about it and can't even use the words!

So well, I think its a stupid rule, I wasn't used to it before I got in TW, and its not like I see it less in TW.

A lot of these people aren't even racist, they just say things that are offensive to get under the skin of people they hate for other reasons.

It really annoys me about the way staff go about banning "racists" I remember MOG was racist as hell towards me (I didn't really care), but whenever staff was around he didn't use any obvious offensive words and staff didn't do anything.

I was banned for saying the N word when this guy hardcore lamed me in .?go duel. It slipped and I was banned, although I got it lifted I knew I deserved the ban ._.; I shouldn't have said anything being in two minorities and all.

If you ever want something to argue when trying to get a ban lifted for racism just mention the fact that the TWL website had an article calling me white trash up until the start of this season, it would still be there if there weren't new hot or not articles.

Yea, I'm still pissed about that.
