2) The sub-forums evolved precisely because people were posting too many unrelated topics in the main boards. It cluttered up the main boards with stuff no one cared about. Now they have a home, and to those who really want to discuss about it... so be it.
3) I don't see how subforums or the forum takes away from the game at all. Just because people post on forums doesn't mean they play less. I post when I'm at work or in the library sometimes because I have nothing better to do.
1) TK is rarely right, even though the case here is fairly clear.
2 and 3) yeah, subforums have nothing to do with the game or people losing interest..saying they do is a realll stretch

This twl season in my opinion recieved the worst interest out of all of the previous ones. Another veteran squad whose presence made TWL that much more competitive, ended. Time will only tell whether -Final-, Syndicate and some of the other older squads pull the plug. The reality is that tens of squads pop out everyday and try to replace them but none of them last longer than a week or so.

Alot of one sentence replies. Its 4 Am in the morning and I just returned from work. So let me try and put something together here.
Regarding my comparison of TW forum to World of Warcraft forum. Okay I just checked now and they have one section called Off-Topic and thats it. The rest is based on the game itself. I dont have time to read the other categories but even if they are hijacked like you say Jerome than its up to the mods to clean shit up.
Now let me tell you how Trench Wars Forum works. I didnt want to get into this but it doesnt really matter now does it? The forum has spoken, changes will not be made. Ok, so in OTHER FORUMS category you have give or take around 15-20 forumers who circle threads daily, just posting one sentence kind of replies (not everyone), looking for interesting things on the web and sharing them with others. Now that 15-20 forumers have established a good community here, they are well known. Take Troll for example. Everyone knows he is well spoken and actually thinks before he posts which is why everyone here dares not reply to his posts. What he says is right because he is Troll King. Now he will most likely disagree but you cannot disagree that there isnt some truth in that. So what does all of this have to do with what I am trying to say? Well let me go back to that 15-20 members crap. So they have strenghtened their relationship with eachother. They post and reply to eachothers threads and so on. OTHER FORUMS is their world, they are always there and you better watch what you are posting. That means, when some average joe from trench wars decides to take some time off from playing the game and signs up on the forums to make a thread, he will get made fun of the first time but the second and third time he will start thinking like that very same 15-20 member community. Because all he wants to do is fit in.
You dont have to think of me as that average joe. Because I have registered for the forums in 2004. However, you can think of me as someone that is speaking his mind and not just posting something that the 15/20 crew will agree on. But you know what, that is precisely why nothing will happen. Just to let everyone know, I did start this thread because I think that changes need to be made. I dont want the 15,20 people on here making decisions for me. I want to be able to speak freely. I play this game alot and I compete everyday and when something is wrong I will point it out.
Can I move on? I have been very clear in the type of changes I would like to see. The first one which revolves the forum is the hottest one of all. The other two most people dont have problems with. I have some more ideas but for now just read Troll's post cause he is always right and he agrees with my other two arguments so that means its convincing enough.
Okay I am going in for it again. I will try and explain why it is so important for the forums to change.
Let me first say that I see alot of people are quoting me on OTHER FORUMS taking away interest from Trench Wars. Let me correct you in saying that I stated TWL not TRENCH WARS. I wont take back what I said though. Honestly, I did mean it to be kind of an add on or an extra hand in tackling the current state of TWL. Cant blame a guy for trying .
Back to the original question. I feel that the OTHER FORUMS and even some of the other categories such as TW Staff, FAQ, Basing World Cup and so on are needless. There isnt much to discuss here and if threads are made they are followed by 6-7 replies and thats it. Think of it this way, TW forums feel scattered. What needs to be done is a compression, general discussions is enough for everyone especially for that 15/20 crew. Put 1 or 2 mods for that category alone and you are set. It wont bring chaos, rather yet it will organize and make it easier for the mods to monitor things. It will also make the forum look more professional, slicker and right on target.
I will post some ideas I thought of while at work that could help further improve the game. Right now I gotta hit the sack, its like 5:40 here now. Peace

In your long, bloated reply to TK you basically said-
"-It's 4am I'm going to try to write a reply here
-Jerome I went to WoW forums, didn't look but I'm still right anyway
-Let me tell you how this forum works even though I don't come here
-You guys only listen to TK because he has been here for awhile
-You guys are all picking on me because TK thinks I'm wrong
-I'm just an average joe trying to voice my opinion
-I feel other sections of this forum are needless because I don't have a large interest in them "
You've managed to repeatedly post and yet still offer no actual backing to your original statements, all the while claiming other people are defending themselves. There is a post time on every post, no need to even mention the time so you can come back later and say anything along the lines of " sorry it was early when I wrote that, here's more bullshit ".
My father in law was telling me over Thanksgiving about this amazing bartender at some bar he frequented who could shake a martini and fill it to the rim with no leftovers and he thought it was the coolest thing he'd ever seen. I then proceeded to his home bar and made four martinis in one shaker with unfamiliar glassware and a non standard shaker and did the same thing. From that moment forward I knew he had no compunction about my cock ever being in his daughter's mouth.
There's a problem with comparing these forums to WoW's forums.
For one thing, a huge percentage of threads in the WoW forums have no replies. Another large portion have only a handful of replies, many of which were made by the thread's original poster. I did a little test to see how many pages of various WoW forums you'd have to go before getting a decent amount of replies, so I picked 5 replies as a sign of a discussion. Even then, that's being generous.
In the WoW General forum, which has 86 pages in total, there are 56 whole pages of threads with less than 5 replies. The Rogue Class forum: 21 out of 34. PvP Discussion: 13 of 21. WoW Suggestions: 29 of 33. Off-Topic Discussion: 18 of 40. Each full page contains 50 posts.
What does this tell us? That most of the game related threads have very little discussion and interaction between the players. If 2/3 of your largest forum has fewer than 5 replies then that is not a healthy forum. Hell, on the WoW General Discussion forum, you'd have to go 22 pages before you finally find a thread with any replies at all. That's over a 1000 threads without a single reply. On the other hand, take a look at the only WoW forum where at least half of the threads have 5 replies. Guess what? It's the Off-Topic Discussion forum.
If you look at the other end of the spectrum, at the threads with the most replies, you get a better picture of the distribution:
WoW General forum's Largest thread size is 22 replies. Rogue Class forum: 18 replies. PvP: 26 replies. WoW Suggestions: 12 replies. Off-Topic Discussion: 72 replies.
You want even more staggering figures? The last page of the Off-Topic forum has a total of 3447 replies on its 50 threads. In comparison, the 50 most-responded threads in the WoW General Discussion forum total 1032 replies. There's no denying that in the WoW forums, the Off-Topic forum is far and away the most popular. If you're using the WoW forums as a model for your suggestion, then your model fails you.

Close but not entirely. General discussion has more then your regular videos of kids adding salt or mentos to diet coke. Real disucssions happen there on religion and politics, sports, music ect.. Maybe you should try reading into it or actually taking those 15-20 minutes to add to it.

While TK is right on a lot of things he and I (or the whole forum for that matter) can disagree with him on different topics, our opinions could and most likely will be different. The only difference is with him, Eph, Epi and some others is that they're respectful, mature and persistent debaters and forum members.
Before you want to blame a complete forum of group think maybe you should involve your self more in it. On topics like these you sure as hell are going to get a lot of people against you because you're saying the balance and harmony that has sustained this board is damaging the abilty for your "Average Joe" player to interact with it. You need to prove that, not just point to Troll King and say we're following his lead, point to some lesser used or abused forum and say the sky is falling. It isn't enough.
