Ok .. initial anger gone.
Let's see how pings get changed. Then complain after if it's a drastic change. No sense complaining about an impact we're not even sure of, and which is totally out of our hands.
And thank you Sonera for the years of hosting.gravy_: They should do great gran tourismo

Im waiting with the rest, but i'm not worried about my ping, but wondering more if my packetloss will improve, or downgrade to not playing level. It was sometimes a problem at the current location, lets see what happens at the new location. If problems with packetloss are rising drastically, then i have no other option to search for a new game. But lets not get ahead of the things..
Greetings,Greets,

So the tables have turned between Euros and Americans. Big deal. We all knew it would happen someday. Absolutely no one has the right to bitch. And Americans really shouldn't be bragging too awful much seeing as how most Finns have kept their mouths shut over the years.
And that is that. End of discussion.jasonofabitch loves!!!!

I think this is a good change for the majority. Most of SS players live in the North America region of the world and this improves their connection. It will be a sacrifice for the Euros but I don't see any big changes. At least PriitK is keeping SS alive. He obvouisly isn't benefiting much from the move considering he lives in Estonia. I bet PriitK is paying out of pocket money for this move and a gaming server doesn't come cheap. I believe Sonera offered the servers for free through BD Vine and having them run it for this long was a blessing for the game.
One great improvement for this move will be performance on the bots. Since the bot server is located in the US East Coast the bots will not lag improving the already bot automated Trench Wars Divisions (TWD) and future Trench Wars Leagues (TWL).
I also believe TW ran originally on a US server."The weak can never forgive. Forgiveness is the attribute of the strong" -Mahatma Gandhi

INet for life. The individual, a prisoner. Humanity holding the key to the opression. Everyone a prisoner, holding a portion of the whole truth. And so the enigma perpetuates. Insentient, lifeless. Grinning mockingly at its creators through its cold, inanimate lips.

Yeah, the original TW was on SSNet, which was located in the US, but that died shortly after. Actually SSNet was more popular than the iNet/SSCU version since the rating in pub actually meant something. :/
Anyway, I don't think euros will be that worse off. I live in Wisconsin (Mid-West) and I could get 150 pings to the SSCU server. I'm sure most euros will be under a 200 ping. Though, with a modem, I was getting about 350 pings. And to be honest, anything under a 400 ping is playable (so long as you know how to lead it right... It is possible because I did it). ^_^
As for the move itself, it prolly wont help me anyway cuz this college network blows and all the kazaa users take up all the bandwidth so I can't even get below a 2000 ping from SSCE...
