Alright, thats what I wanted to hear. Now physical damage wouldn't be verbal actions taken through spamming, threatening, spam abusing, etc...

There are other things Ikrit did but it is not important to him being removed. He didn't want to be on staff, the whole point of this was to quit. If he wants to help on TWEL or continue to do coding then I have no problem with it. What upper staff and I are not going to put up with is the bullshit he's going to put us and the community through just to do it.

lol, you make me laugh, this whole situation could've been avoided by 1 of 2 upper staff members and any 1 of a number of <ER>/mods that were online spawning the bot the first time I asked for it to be spawned.

This was just an announcement thread to say it was being postponed until people started asking questions which I answered. Then there's asses like you that come in and just say "Ikrit sucks, staff hates him, kthxbai"

By the way, I'd just like to show the community the lengths staff will go to to ban me.

I got someone to tell me the reasons I was banned from my ban comment.

1. Help abuse
2. Used RoboKing to his advantage
3. Threatening to evade
4. Threatening to hack bots


Now what happened

1. Did a second call to get the bot for my league spawned after waiting 3 minutes
2. Used DuelBot to do zone messages, Kim gave me permission to do it, PL asked me why I was doing it later, I told him Kim said I could, he never said to stop. So, I'm really confused how the zone messages are part of my ban, but whatever.
3. I never threatened to evade, ever. I called the ban bullshit because it was and said I'd talk to 2dragons about it since he'd probably recognize how bullshit it was. If talking to a sysop about a ban is threatening to evade, I'm guilty.
4. "If no one spawns the bot, I'm going to hack MYSELF access to do it", never said I was going to hack the bots.

Not directly responding to anyone but, it seems like to me that some (Not all, I understand many have been reasonable) but that several staff members have been 'out to get' Ikrit, or totally mar every accomplishment Ikrit has done. If staff has really taken care of it, then staff shouldn't dwell on the issue by frequently insulting Ikrit through games hosted, some answers to ?help calls refering to the subject, and the likes thereof. As the TW Staff is to lead the people, their example of disruption over Ikrit creates disruption over the people who see the struggle that's going on. I'm not saying anyone here specifically has said anything, though its probable and likely that a few have, but I personally think you should give up trying to make Ikrit the common household villian for this zone. If he did wrong, then he should be acknowledged punished accordingly, if he did good, he should be acknowledged and rewarded accordingly. Look at all that Ikrit has done in context, and though you may still warrent the axing, or even find grounds for the month ban, but shouldn't take away the acknowledgement for what good Ikrit has done to this zone. At least give him enough respect for what he HAS done for this zone, so that you would not disrespect everything he has done, association with his name in negative respects, etc... Just be the bigger man and give it up, whats done is done. That can be said of both sides equally.

No one is out to get Jacen. He has done a lot for this zone but he also doesn't want to help it anymore. No staffer should be mentioning anything to the public through ?help or other means. I've given pieces of information through the forum thread in TW Staff explaining why he was removed to eliminate misinformation on the issue. No one is pushing the issue, he asked for the TWD thing to be resolved and Pure_Luck let the information be known to everyone, nothing kept secret hidden away on Smod chat, no lies and no abuse. Whatever a staffer has done for this zone is pretty much irreverent when considering their value to this zone after abusing their power and access. Much of our operations in this zone relies on trust, if we don't have it then they're of no use to zone staff. If they're out to cause a shit storm with a staffer their value is even less in my eyes.

I'm not out to make it look like I'm valuable to staff, nor am I trying to start a shitstorm. PL banning me for trying to get duelbot spawned is the start of the shitstorm, but I guess a staffer trying to start the shitstorm with a player isn't bad from your point of view, is it?

It still happens though. And it happens to people who support or even appear to be saying something in behalf of Ikrit's benefit. I do understand what your saying about the trust issue, but I don't think the issue at hand is to reinstate Ikrit. For the sake of the situation, the staff needs to be the bigger man about this, which though some people are being very respectful and honest towards the situation, other people are being complete jerks on the issue. I don't believe that the forums or players should be suppressed on the issue as far as their freedom to discuss, but I do believe the staff should beef up and be the bigger man, bury the issue.

We banned someone for saying they'd hack TW for 13 years. Yeah it was DoCk> banning but I think we would respond in similar fashion today. Since you may have access or friends on staff still and you probably have good knowledge how to get some of it back, did you expect us to not take it seriously?

What happens? My and PL's responsibility is to this zone and the community first. He and I never said anything on this forum for his benefit. If you're going to be vague as shit about who's doing what here, I can't really reply to your comments. As with all things on this forum, just because Ikrit did a lot of good things in the past for this zone and a lot of bad things recently, none of it should override our forum rules. Once Rudy or Dangergirl get online we won't be seeing all these threads so don't worry about it.

It all boils down to unauthorized access to one or more of our systems in this zone. Even if you do something positive, you're still not supposed to be there doing it. Another example that fits this a little better: Rodge using the sysop password to bring his own bots online. Yeah it was positive because we had another backup but he was told twice not to do it and shouldn't have had the password. I do relized there's a difference between saying something and doing it, and just making a joke. Maybe next time you should reconsider making jokes like that just after being removed for abusing a lot. Maybe then we will take it less seriously. Now please stop, for the good of this zone leave the forum and sit your ban out.

I think the punishment should fit the crime, since Ikrit threatened to break the bots, you should threaten to ban him, because according to you they are the same thing anyways. If Ikrit really wanted to break the bots, he had ample oppurtunity to, and could still do so now if he really wanted to get back at Trench Wars, but the whole thing is, he didn't.

Not quite the same, seeing as theres no bans in real life, I was just trying to convey what i was thinking using an analogy. But, if someone were to say they had a bomb, you'd have to admit that would be INCREDIBLY STUPID. It's not like they'd be forgiven when they realises they don't have one. They'd be arrested (if not shot on sight, lets be honest here) and detained, made to undergo psychiatric treatment and possibly sent to a mental institution.

So yeah, you'd be banned.
