It is a shame that TWEL has to be postponed because of this. Ikrit, I don't know what your problem has been lately, but you need to get your head out of your ass and start contributing in a more mature way if you want to continue doing work for the zone. If you expect us to take it as a "joke" when you threaten to hack the bots, then maybe you should reconsider your actions over the past week or two. You messed around with the databases that we staffers rely upon as an unbiased source of information and you were fairly axed for it. You clearly have no problems messing with things that we rely upon and have put a lot of time into creating. So asking staff to take it as a joke when you claim you're going to hack the bots is too much to ask.

Don't get me wrong, I and everyone else should appreciate what you have done for the zone in the past. However, a line has to be drawn somewhere, and you've made a lot of people ask themselves this week if you're worth the risk.

I am sorry that the TWEL playoffs are delayed, but we've got an entire zone to worry about.

If "common sense" is treating someone who says "i use palahax.exe" the same way we treat someone who we know has access to sensitive parts of the zone and threatens it, then yes we're complete idiots.

Weaver, if you or PL had spawned the bot instead of sitting around twiddling your thumbs, we wouldn't have had a problem. Pl popped out of no where to ban me and then you hopped onto twdev zone to chat with me, either of you could have spawned the bot.

Also, please stop screwing with what I said, I said I was going to hack myself access to spawn the bot myself, not hack the bots as if to crash them. There is a big difference especially since your excuse for taking what I said seriously is that I "screwed with stuff last week".

And in response to Rudy: I've been working on RoboKing's stability recently, there is really nothing on roboking that crashes it now, the main problem is that the server RoboKing runs on has been getting laggy from other things, mainly MySQL stuff which hangs up queries on roboking and crashes the core.

That scenario is irrelevant because "some pubber" doesn't have the kind of access we're talking about. Ever see Spiderman? Sure the line may be cliche but "With great power comes great responsibility" applies to this situation pretty well.

I'm not going to comment on whether he should or should not have been banned, but I can tell you why he was. His access to secure data was previously used to compromise its integrity. He then sent a notice to staff that he would use his access to bypass certain security measures. Even though what he said he would do was of a completely different magnitude and unrelated to previous transgressions, staff took the threat seriously and likely from a worst-case perspective.

Is there a double standard? Probably, and rightfully so. In the US regular citizens don't take regular polygraph examinations. However, citizens with higher security clearances are required to because they deal with, as Aqua said, more sensitive information.

You make it seem like Ikrit is the anti-Christ of TW. Maybe you think he has done wrong, maybe you think he hasn't. You can't deny the fact that Ikrit has worked his butt off and spent more hours than the easy majority of players in TW for this zone's improvement and upkeep. The appriciation is revealed for what Ikrit has done for this zone by the attitudes taken against or for him in times like this.
