the job is fucking worthless, it's not that fun and you don't get much satisfaction except for people saying thank you on the internet once in awhile. The job burns you out and makes you wonder why you even bother logging in. I go to work and I play subspace, do I need to mix up the two so I feel as though all I do in my past time is work?

seriously, seeing how this dude has been around forever and has put so many hours on this game to make it better for other people, can't we just slap him on the hand and get on with our lives? He'd be better off serving the TW community than made an example of.

What is not black and white is the way many in the TW population want to sit in the cheap seats and toss criticial statements at staff all the time. When crap happens the staff get slammed for tossing an ex-staffer, yet if they were to keep the guy around they get slammed by people who say they have double standards. It is a no win situation.
Being old (mature?), I was asked to be on staff in 1999 but I am glad I never joined. Look at all the good staffers that have come and gone, no one should be wondering why.

Staff is not as black and white as they make themselves out to be. This is not a bad thing, because I think a position of entertainment has to have some leniancy. I agree however, that certain rules pertaining to their credibility and professionalism have to be redefined.

I can think of one or two people who were hired back in the past 3 years who did abuse. It wasn't anything big, no one was banned, no squad games were involved and no feelings got hurt over it. They were hired back knowing they would never hold a higher rank then ZH and in the rare case ER. BanG, Sysop/Smod/Mod and other jobs/access was completely out of the question. Whether we've worked that way in the past or not right now on TW staff trust is important for helping to run this zone. It really is that black and white, if someone is going to mix up their personal stuff with the position of authority in this game they're not welcomed on staff.
