Sorry for the wait on updating the lists. I removed the Recent Action and replaced it with Major Action. There were too many little changes that were not very important, so only modifications to the roster that I find notable will be added here. Also, it looks as if Brainwave is getting active again, so hopefully they'll be playing a few preseason matches. Added Quake3 to the free agent list, and removed a few others on the list who now have found squads. 2 new squads have been created, and one of those squads is based on a player from Meta and Under_Score. Finally, we have 4 squads that have no won a game yet, meaning they need to play someone who isn't Quickball or Meta. Hopefully the captains of these squads will look to find a match against one of the teams they have not played yet. As of now, only 3 squads qualify for the league, so we need more games played among the other squads.

A word of advice to anyone on the free agent list-

Nobody's gonna recruit you if you aren't active =P So get out there and play? haha

The problem I already see in regard to scrim times and squads that need to qualify, is the timezone situations that have some living in Europe and others in N. America and elsewhere.

I would suggest that weekends have certain times set aside to allow for these required scrims, so that those that want to play, yet cannot make a scrim on a weeknite can do so.

Set up Sat. & Sun. times and make the league aware that during these days at these times, those squads interested in participating can have the turnout and set scrims with a host available.

The act of just calling out in the chat for a team that wants to scrim is not the most effective means to get support. We have the website for Strikeball...add section that perhaps would set open spots as to when a scrim can be hosted with a contact email to reserve that time and make it happen.

Just my thoughts on this.

[EDIT] BTW...I like the idea of the messagebot, but I personally do not see that as being the answer to setting up scrim, especially at evening hours EST.

Bad news, squad Elites has dissolved (for no good reason :P) The good news is that this is a great oppertunity for someone else to step up and captain a squad, as Elites had a lot of players who now went to the Free Agent list. At the very least, this is a good oppertunity for a few squads to pick up some more people and fill in their rosters.

404, I think it would help if we set up a time for everyone to meet up and we'll just play Preseason matches throughout that time span. Whichever squads who have played the least will get first dibs on a match.

Well, your squad honestly consist of yourself, AnidaLife, DuBois, Left Hand, Moltenrock, and Yamaha. Zero Seven, Mors Cassio, and Holy_bird are virtually inactive. Without any question, Meta is a very talented and good squad. After watching you guys for some time now, I don't believe your squad is that greatly stacked, and is quite beatable. Even though I feel Meta is very beatable, that doesn't mean you'll run away with the season undefeated. From a non-bias perspective, Meta probably has the most active collections veterans/very talented players in Strikeball. With that in mind, they make for excellent captains for this league, which is something the league could badly use. So simply, my answer, Metanoia's existence doesn't directly hurt the league, but it destroys a great amount of potential that could be invested into the league.

It's an established SB squad of which many are vets. It was fun to play them the other day in a scrim. We got our asses handed to us, but it was good for our squad, since we have never really played as a team together.

Having the skill and knowledge of who is on your team and the experience of playing with them is a great help. The more we play as a team, the better we will get too. You can't get better without playing.

I found it odd that Met had AnidaLife in goal the second half as they had been dominating us all the 1st half. Personally I do not think anyone should be able to loiter in the goal as a goalie! If the point was to make sure we didn;t have any chance to score as a newb squad, then it was a good call, but it also makes for a terrible match to spec and watch. It also deters anyone from wantin to start a squad or participate if they are new to the game.

Stacked....perhaps, but as Blue said, not unbeatable. I think U_S can beat them if they have there top players active for a match.

And another thing...AnidaLife give me some of that lag you had yesterday! you got hit by a bomb and 2 bullets all at the same tim inside your goal and didn't die? wtf? I want some of that lag damnit!

regardless it's still a fun game and it was only a scrim...hoping to have many more soon!

There was once upon a time a category just for SB on this forum, but unfortunately due to those above us poor mods on this forum, it can no longer be added. It can, but nobody with the powers will do so.

haha i honestly remember anida saying in team chat, that he ate 3 times haha (i assume they were duds or he wouldnt have saw them??)
