Instead of looking at this as an oppurtunity to get some fedback from people you'd rather it be left alone. I still do not understand why you are keeping this infromation private? I understand if it was something to do with methods to catch cheaters or other necessary info that must be kept secret, but it's to do with the expectations of staff members. Maybe if you let people know what they were getting into before they became staff then maybe we wouldn't see so many burnouts. If you asked me to host 20-25 hours a month and told me that my job was in jeopardy, a job I do for free if I don't keep up with your quota then you'd have one less <ER>.

I don't know how you got into staff the first time, but I'm 100% sure that when a person is invited, these ground rules are laid out before them so they clearly know what they are getting into before accepting the invitation.

Yeah, it's a shame that people can't accept the simple fact that you just don't want to be staff anymore. Everything has to turn into a huge debate involving things that shouldn't even come up. At least some of us had the common decency to just wish you well and let you move on, I guess.

Yeah well I hate cops pretty much but I have to agree, I always thought it was stupid for anyone to have a quota because there is no limit to the amount of ZH's ER's and Mod's you can have, and if an ER hosts 10 events a month thats still 10 events. meh.

Information does leak, we try our best to crack down on the prime suspects when the problem arises. It still doesn't mean I would openly reveal this information to you or any other non-staff member.

Guys, I have some insider knowledge on the quota system.

Basically it works like this.

After you have taken a call, Kim, Pred or another Smod+ will ask you to evaluate the call. You will asked several questions which you have to rate from 1 - 5 such as the difficulty of the problem, whether you think you could have improved etc.

From these answers, a score from 5 - 25 is gained. Over the course of 2 weeks, each staffer must gain a total score of at least 325. If you do not reach this score, you will be disciplined. You can "carry over" scores from the previous 2 weeks. That is, if you get 500 points in one period, the following 2 weeks you only need to get 150 points to reach quota. Points cannot be carried further than 1 time period though, so it is pointless to get more than 650 points as they'll just be a waste of time that could be spent enjoying the game.

ZHs have to take ~50 ?help calls a month.
ERs have to host ~50 events a month.
Moderators have to take ~50 ?cheater calls a month.
SMods have no quota.

EDIT: The amounts vary. They were 40, 50 and 60 at some point I believe.

information leaks, especially if this information is available to all levels of staff, I wasn't saying that lower-end staffers are prone to handing out information just that if you add in all levels of staff you have a crap load of people that could easily hand this info out.

I don't see how this information is sensitive, I think it's common knowledge that you make people perform a certain amount of calls/events per month. I see this thread having some decently good points about how to reform the system to make it easier on <ER>'s. Why not make this an open discussion, we all know there is a quota and from the looks of it the way it's run isn't exactly at peak performance, maybe making information a little less sensitive would be the way to go. You could easily say it's confidential and just write the idea off altogehter, either way it's your problem, I don't have to hire and fire staffers left and right because people have social lives.

It may seem like you're saying that certain levels of staff are not trustworthy of holding confidential information, and should not be trusted because somehow if they know something, public players such as yourself are able to pry this knowledge from them?
