I say just remove the powers of the bad cap, in this case Austin.

However, some people should understand that there is no rule that says "if you say cap first, you get it." It's more about who will pick decent teams. This is how I pick caps, if anyone cares (for go base):

-pick the first 2 people who say cap if they are qualified (know what theyre doing).
-dont pick the first 2 caps if they capped the previous game
-dont pick the first 2 caps if they are known to create the same line up (always jav themselves, and never fix anything if they are losing badly)--but I will pick them every so often, just not every single time.
-if 4 people say cap, and all are qualified, but 2 of them dont cap much, I'll cap them instead of the people who cap a lot of the time.
-if no one but an unknown name wants to cap, I ask them if they know how. Most say yes and I generally give them a chance and help them out if they dont know the commands. If they dont know the players, thats another story; best way of learning who plays what or who is good is to watch. Capping wont change that. I've seen a lot of horrible games die because of this.

I cant say anything about wbduel or javduel, since I never play those arenas. I just wanted show that not everyone is a lazy staffer who picks their friends :P Some people actually have a process!

Staff removed every player that had bot powers in certain arenas because people complained about not getting cap...now we will have less base, javduel, and wbduel games because of this.

I know we can ask for a game to be hosted...but that doesn't always work either. I remember a javduel game that was never started because only 2 people wanted to cap and the staff member didn't want to cap one of them.

I would rather get skipped on cap every once in a while then not play at all...anywho, have fun in SS.

1st off- wbduel/javduel is a fun little thing that happens occassionally between random people, not squad vs squad, or anything else that matters it really shouldn't be the best 5 people vs the 2nd best 5 people everytime.

2nd - why not let more newbs become captains? it's really not that hard, but they'll never learn without trying. Why let teh "vets" pick the same damn people over and over again? I've been in on aliases and never been picked through 3 games with 12 ppl in the arena ;( even though i tried to call cap, asked to play several times, pm'd the captains, asked to be subbed...

3rd - what's so damn important about being captain as long as you get to play anyway? if you don't it's not b/c you didnt become cap, it's because someone didn't want you to play. a different issue entirely

some of you lazy coders make a captains queue to the bots in javduel, base and wbduel, it's kinda ridiculous that the arena needs to die before a staffer starts it and/or people requesting cap never gets it.

80% of the people in there just suicide anyway, so the competition is poor vs. twd, yet obviously it is a good way to prac for twd/twl, even if the captains are "newbies" (this covers 96% of the players anyway) they still get a chance to prac in an arena that is way better than ?go javs. and more importantly maybe some new players get to play once in a while
