TW Skillz Guide?

As I hope you have noticed, I haven't really been playing SS for last couple of months. I try to play a couple hours over the weekends if I have time, but theres this one thing that is incredibly disappointing: everyone just SUCKS. There is no new talent going up the skills ladder. You have the same guys who were on top a year ago that are on top now. You can argue this, but it really isn't my point at all. (If you really want to argue it, compare the number of "leet" players to the total number of players). Instead of bitching about it, I was thinking that I could write a "how to be leet at TW guide". I won't focus on easy stuff like aiming/dodging, but more on theory. The reason I'm posting this is to ask if anyone would bother reading it, learning from it, and help me develop it more.

If you don't believe that reading a guide will help people get better... This weekend after 20 seconds of dueling, I gave someone a tip that probably made them better in 20 seconds than a whole month of TW'ing.

Well, I was talking about a javs/wb skill guide. By skill I mean *raw* skill, before you factor stuff like teaming/vulching/styles/leagues/etc. Maybe he was talking about a basing guide. I don't mean to sound elitist or anything, but I dont think he's a good enough wb/jav to "write a book" on them. :P

The main reasons that "pure" jav pilots havn't improved is that the fastest improving area of Trench is basing. The quality of play in base is much higher what it was before, and the fastest rising squads where older skill sets aren't as effective are basing squads.

The older skills aren't dieing out but the new skilled people are now going more towards basing rather than elim/baseelim.

Not really. WB/Jav dueling in Trench is the simplest form of Subspace in the whole of Subspace.

Sheesh, skill...What skill can there be after they moved server to fucking USA...its lag and luck now. I dont know how true this is for others, but to me, it's like they moved the skill out of here.

It's that way for (almost) all Euros.

I can still get a decent ping even on Powerball zones. Only 100ms difference from the old TW server.

There are many who say the opposite, n going the other direction. This argument should no longer hold any weight.

The server hasn't even been in the US for long at all and people are already complaining about their lag. Think how long the people in the US had to deal with the lag. You will learn to deal with the lag just like everyone else did. Try shooting half a screen in front of your target then you might actually kill the person you are aiming at. That is what I had to do for the longest time, and now they actually die when I shoot them, YAY!

On the subject of making a guide for newbs, it sounds like a good idea, but in reality those very newbs that suck will probably not even know how to find the guide the first place. They probably don't even know that a TW site exists.

I'm in the US and now it seems like everyone on my screen lags. People with relative pings of 30-40 to me lag as much as the people with relative pings of 250-300. My ping is steady at 30, with no ploss. I don't understand it.
