I, and every other god damn person, understands why you don’t like distension. You’ve said the same thing over and over again for the better part of December and your point has been hammered home. What new complaints have you had aside from the ‘no distension before TWL’ thing? Which I agree with you about.

Why does it matter that Distension doesn’t have settings identical to TWL? If these people don’t want to play TWL, they aren’t going to. The way I see it is that you guys are upset that newbies come to the zone and were often ending up in Distension after a few months of play, thereby lowering the number of TWD-material players. Sucks to BU (that’s a Beanpot joke for those of you from Boston).

Do you genuinely believe that Qan is not trying to get the shit straightened out as per the server issues? Obviously he’s trying to fix the problem(s) so I really don’t see how this is an issue at all. Especially considering there won’t be any Distension before the evening hours on the weekends, thereby keeping your TWL safe.

You know what, I’m just going to stop here. We will never agree, partly because you’re too egotistical, shifty, and thick skulled to ever concede a point.

What I will close with is this: I think you know what you’re doing Wark. The louder you bitch, and the more people you bitch at, the more likely you are to get your way. We’ve all seen it before and it’s sad that people still listen to a damn thing you have to say. (With the exception of HoN, you can write those pretty well).

like i said, im confident that with enough testing, the bugs can get removed. im not even using that as an argument anymore. it got out from infront of TWL on sundays, so its a bit more of a moot point.

now, as a bitch in general, i like to browse the forums when im at work (like now) and it sucks when the entire server goes down. but aside from the nearly 2 hours it was out yesterday (that i noticed), not a big deal

there is a right way to go about hosting it and a wrong way.

i actually would like to see distension become a focal point of the zone but on a cyclical scheme. give the population of TW one main thing to do at a time. i think that is the way to promote longevity of the zone in general while keeping TWL the main focus (this is what i am for)

Everyone’s crying their poor little eyes out that the zone is dying blah blah blah, and something comes along that has a clear attraction for newbies and you all immediately start flipping a shit? TWL is the centerpiece of the zone. Anyone who argues otherwise is a dumb fuck. Distension isn’t taking over TWL, in fact concessions were made specifically so that you have all of the time before TWL on weekends to yourselves. So what are you still bitching about?

the 'big picture' for all the twl-buffs is that dist isnt league enough. im sure the design of upgs and specializations, with a bit of a limitation for an occasion could work out to inspire many of these new eager heads to the precedented leagues in due time. the blueprints are scoffed at until the building attracts tourism, and from that a cascade of stfuing. Reality being a contention between dedications is pitiful. the same boat here is trench wars capture the flag. the exclusiveness will only be permanent if the stagnancy-seekers get their wish, their banishments. anyways, try using a r20 jav in dist, its actually fun as fuck. the shits not as different as you'd all like to argue it is. (aquatic,etc others) are getting their javelin practice in. and whether soloing in go javs or relying on 4 people to sign on her squad worked before, there's still evidence she's having more fun and more practice than the precedent. if only out of spite, i wouldnt mind too terribly if the repercussions were entirely new Dist-only squads that bump others from future TWL lists. i scoff at the prejudices of you old farts.

lets make a Distension basing league, and a Distension Warbird league, and a distension javelin league, and a distension pubbing arena, and then we can change TWL to rank 20 of each ship which are regular TW settings I guess?

its never too late to implement a system to force interests upon the growing dist pop. dist league basing everybody gets a r20. the current status is unkempt. many people are being converted to an 'abyss'. but its a frontier, and that's better than digging a hole and burying your head. think of it this way - mainliner, thunder, and disoblige are the only twlb squads that matter. the rest are in it for show, and for what its worth, the pressure of it not being just practice, but practice nonetheless, as they have no chance to win. if dist was turned 24/7 into a ?go base, and all sorts of crap adjusted to promote precedented trench wars events, would there be any arguments? i find it amusing that the people with such regard for twl seem so afraid that something new might just take away from their precious efforts. hour for hour i'd say the 3 month disters are better at basing than those very vets could ever have hoped in the timescale. fear change bitches.

hey, i like playing distension. its fun. i enjoy tooling around in my spider or shark as much as the next guy. it has nothing to do with the zone of TW though except for the fact that the ship settings are very loosely based on the normal ships.

im not asking for qan to be lynched. im not asking for people to abolish distension. all im saying is that it does not belong in SSCU Trenchwars
