How about the ops actually start fixing some of the other problems with some other ships that have been plaguing pubs for years? The 2 notable but non-game breaking changes that SHOULD be changed are the repel delay for Leviathans and Terr's bomb radar. I'll go into deeper detail...
The repel/refire problem has been around for god knows how long... but since levs have a relatively low population and even lower populations for ones that actually think LT'ers can shove it up there you know whats, the voice of change for them are not heard... Its rather ridiculous that all other ships with repels can fire one rep then almost immediately take a action back as a counter attack. About 90% of lev deaths (speaking from personal experience) occur because of this delay. A WB can get right up in the grill of a Lev, the lev reps the wb's shot but by the time the lev can finally use something other than their other repel (I.E. actually firing back [with either guns or bombs] or even using the 1 rocket to get some distance from said wb) the WB would've been then fired again... I know there isn't a person who has played lev and has not experienced this first hand. There is a way to fix this but for whatever reason, its not.
From what i can tell, the main reason why the change hasn't been implemented is because repels are directly tied to the refire rate of bombs. As such, levs, if they actually had enough energy to do so, have about 3 and a half seconds before it can fire once more if the energy required is there. The only time this rule is actually bypassed is when you receive a teamgreen. Aside from that, why cant we lower lev's refire rate so that they can actually fight back instead of sitting there like sitting ducks? Its not like Lev's have such a ridiculous recharge rate that they will carpet bomb walls, and not only that, its not like people actively grab greens anymore to begin with to even promote a quick double fire for a lev... that and the greening process in general sucks since about 70% of them are always something useless (multi-fire greens).
Really, if you can give weasel players what they have crying out for (change), why can't we even the playing field for levs just a bit that isn't game breaking? This like someone said in the weasel thread, this isn't "give an inch, ask for a mile"... Rather its a ask for an inch to get half a mile...
Now to Terr bomb radar... Its something that i touched on in the public change forum. This too isn't game changing and it doesn't touch any of the settings for lev in which LT bitchers would whine about to begin with. Countless times it would seem that someone would have the bead on a LT with their bombs but they would warp away since they can see it coming a mile away on radar. This is at least something to consider to at least help combat LT's so that FR's can have a somewhat fighting chance against LT's...
