Sorry for confusing you freddie, I didnt really meant an actual jungle with trees and wild animals. What I meant is if you take 8 players with the equal amount of skill and put them inside of the TW map which ship would shine the best and on what area of the map.

Lancs, in my opinion, would have to be fairly high in the food chain thx to their ability to do well in any enviorment its on, be it out in the open, in mid base, in FR or even while protecting the roof. I still think that fighting against a spider of equal skill within the base might give the edge to the spider, not entirely sure, though.

the game is pretty balanced and each ship has diff weakness/strengths and some ships become stronger in teaming and exist to supplement the team.

fighters - wb, lanc , spider
support - shark, terr, jav, weasel
lame - lev

in open space i've seen it hosted and wbs win every time even with old/new lanc settings
wb beats lanc due to manoeuvrability and l3 bullets ... wb can keep a distance and pick of the lanc. spider at this range l1 bullets too weak. it goes wb>lanc>spider

in mid base it becomes rock paper scissors
lanc> wb
spider> lanc
wb> spider
thats my experience anyway, very hard for a spider to kill a wb not shooting in mid as there is enough space to run and dodge some but vs lanc it can take potshots and if the lanc shoots it can still tank the bullet and kill it.
in flag room
spider>lanc>wb
still hard to kill a wb with spider but less room and you can get it cornered and kill. BUt ultimatly it's a numbers game and numerous spiders will overpower and clean fr specially since you dont attach from terr with full energy and yet straigh away the spider can shoot to defend it a bit and pray on weakend enemies attaching to their terr rapidly.

javs can set up defense and offense shots and get multiple kills/weaken ships but have little defense of their own and can kill close quaters with ass bullets bombs but any sort of mid rage open space thay are sitting ducks. the rocket makes them quite offensive in fr though.

terr - can get kills with speed and ports and bursts are deadly in base but their real value is in attaching

shark - defensive serves the team and can get kills with mines bombs and devastate a pack by reping in and mining them but thats when the opportunity arises not it's purpose.

weasle - can cloak roofers and roofers are as lame as getting cloaked so there is a karmic balance there. mind you they tweak this ship a hell of alot

levs- needs changed - abilty to attach at 20 bty is overpowering :/ there is a reason this is the slowest ship ...........

Provided the pilot arn't stupid In open space warbird will own all ships. Lanc can beat spider, is lanc pilot is smart.

Weasel can just cloak and detroy them all though...

levi can beat wb/lanc/spider players in open space. I won a couple of tournys playing as lev.
