I saw this on a demo cd in december 2002. 5/6 months later after joining bohemians and camisade until it dissolved mid season I was in twlb trying to get added to a twlb playoff match with spastic, that would of been my first "medal" but since the roster rules weren't clear, I couldnt play despite 2 or 3 camis still played for others. jealous my almost medal vati!

haha stayon. I started playing go base the year after spastic won TWL, I didn't even know what TWL was. I was an up and coming spider, and whiterabbits was thinking of recruiting me, but they had an application system that took weeks. Pure Luck pm'd me asking if I wanted to join his squad, I had no idea who he was. I pm;d him back saying "what squad are you on" without thinking to save myself some face and maybe check myself instead of asking. His response was "what squad won TWL last season" and I responded "what's TWL?" and that was the last time I ever talked to Pure luck. Thankfully, Paul O. hired me to play for Rejected Basers where I spent 3 years, good times.

My first year out of High School when I started (2001). My stepdad showed it to me and I got hooked on Alpha Zone West. Eventually ended up in TW by mistake and got recruited into my first pub squad **DRAGON** under the name "Eric Jeter" where I proceeded to recruit several of todays basers. (Vatican, Solidify, Panama, Salubrious, a few others) My stepdad has long since quit, but he used to own the name "Rock" so he let me have it and I ended up selling it for $50 a few years ago

P.S. Vati, I didn't mean I recruited you onto **DRAGON**, but onto my first squad that i tried to run "Perculate", we were pretty awful

Back in High School (2000), my friend Tony showed me this game. We started on T3 The Gauntlet where i was Homer14 and he was It Grew!

Then one day, I was messing around on my own and viola, discovered my home away from home, Trench Wars! Then I introduced TW to all my friends and we started <Elements> our first squad ever where I was Promethium -161-. We were all nerds and all element names with our respected symbols. Thought we were the shit - seriously...

Since 2003, I have always played this game off and on because I've met some of the coolest people on it. Still come on constantly just to chat if nothing else.

This game is also fucking great when you're stoned.

same here kind of. My friend (Daedalous) who i am pretty sure played SOE Infantry, played this game as well. His dad showed me subspace back in the mid-late 90's and played under the name Ghostman. I had only AOL dial-up at the time, so any chance that i could play this game i would. sad that i have played this game for so long......whats even more sad that i probably wont ever stop.
