allow:

a) one arena
b) ability to play in "practice" arena if player wishes not to participate in a round of elim (this ensures that the out-voted players will remain in the arena instead of logging off or going to another arena)
c) incorporate pub money into elim, it would be beneficial to see winners and streak holders being rewarded

Somewhere on the Trench Wars sites we should show the current top 5 ranked wb and jav elim players. As long as its in a place that people will see it regularly (ie on twd.trenchwars.org) then more people will be driven to play so that their name is on the website. I know I would play more often if that were the case.

I Know I said the beta would be concluding at the end of this weekend but unfortunately I'm seeing something that I hadn't seen before. As a result, the new elim bot will stay in elimbeta for a few more days until I get time to do another round of debugging (thorough).

Ok I finally got around to playing a round. All looked well until game ended and I tried voting for warbird.

In spec obviously. People are alt+tabbed a lot in this game, at least I am. If you can't vote from spec, it's more likely you won't vote at all than tabbing in to enter a ship to vote only to find out it's now to late and it;s going to be a terrier elim. Which is about the time you're also more likely to leave the arena, or log off entirely.

Sorry, I wasn't exactly sure whether you were reporting a bug or complaining about a feature... I thought this might help prevent any potential trolls simply there to screw up people's votes. Several people seemed to really like it.

I didn't like that feature either. A lot of people habitually will not enter the arena unless their ship wins the vote...whats the point of getting ready to play if you are going to spec again in a few seconds after your ship gets out-voted?

Is it me or is there no way to get a list of the top 5 players in wb/jav and what their rating is?

I seriously have tried every function on !help and none work to accomplish this task....I see it as critical to see who is the best player ATM.

Feature Request: Add the !beton function to Elim's to win pub cash, would be neat.

Since the elims are now combined, and to not completely negate the win streak & announcement concept I had milosh implement a few years ago, I'd like to suggest that if a person wins 3 or more elims with the same ship in a row, that the successive games automatically get chosen as the same ship elim until the streak is broken. First off, this will offer a compromise for people to pursue trying to obtain win streaks in their strong ship without having to separate elims, and will also negate griefing in the sense of people voting opposite ship in order to screw over the streaks. It will also let people fight for earning a bit of 'exclusive leeway' in regards to a particular ship type, and maybe encourage more players to join the play in order to win back the chance to vote for and play the opposing ship elim again.

To combat griefing some years ago after the win streak idea was put into the bot I had also suggested to milosh to make it so that any elim streaks that lasted 3 or more games not be allowed to be voted less than 5 deaths, which ended up considerably helping avoid all the people who'd come into the arena after a streak announcement just to vote 1 in attempts to ruin the person's streak games. I don't know if that mechanic is still in play, but hopefully it is, and the change described above could help remove the more apparent griefing method now made available by combining the elims.
