Cheats or lag in TWD

when i was a pure newbie it always felt like people were lag cheating. but the truth is that there was a massive skill gap because the good players have great ship control and experience. so it may seem like they are cheating but in truth they are just outplaying you. i agree there are some obvious laggers like brokenfist and other subtle ones like raspi who manage to shoot 30000mph bullets while flying backwards but i believe this is euro lag. cant completely rule out cheating in this game though because people like vys, apok, delectable, etc have admitted to it in the past.

I know what your saying but lag isnt the same as some of the stuff that has been going on for like 12 years on this game. And i can tell you this, its completely obvious whoever runs this show is involved, complicit, and/or turning the blind eye. The fact that Racka, the poster child for cheaters is running the #2 guild in DD land is a joke. That itself shows you hes so connected with mods on this little game for whatever reasons, that theres no breaking up this little circus show clique that mods desperately deny exists. That must be why the league has had a monopoly for 10 years with a few main squads.

Euro lag is fine. Lag limits exist. Even I lag over 10% ploss sometimes and am unable to play in games im instantly specced even in pub. What some of these guys did, and still do, is not lag. Its using either programs externally to tweak their ship play, or are outright using techniques to tweak ship play like wazaaa suggested but not as simplistically.

Racka shouldve been banned for 20 years by now and its a joke. The entire division is a joke. The cheating issue Ive been advocating on this game unsuccessfully for over 10 years. Mods dont listen, Half are stupid, the other half are INVOLVED. They probably designed or distributed them to their friends. who do you think is friends with all the names you jus mentioned and racka, deez nuts, raspi, and 50 others who know the deal.

And when all these players admitted they've cheated for years and years, and many more you havent named. none have been watched, banned, etc. Nope, instead they run the top 4 squads in the league.

This game will never change. Dont have the intelligence, manpower, resolve. you'd need elliot spitzer or something and for a 2-d game with 800 players nobody really gives a F since 2000. Thats the reality.

I have worked with a number of devs and staff for the past 15ish years on catching various ways to cheat and only very few of them were catchable by automation. From lagcheat to maphack everything is possible without any errors, being specced or whatever if you just know how. Manually speccing and deciding is the only real way of defense there is, and at the moment most of this does not count for a ban as there is no proof of cheat. Leaves cheaters who do not overdo it roam all over this zone and others untouched.

Blizzard cant even stop the asian gold farmers from using tools to let them fly in the air, under the ground and speed up attacks to where they fire 100 attacks in one second to "power level".. its actuall kind of funny. And they have like 5000 developers working around the clock presumably lol.

Please, there are little programs everywhere on the web that lets you tinker with settings on any open game program. Cheat engine and other similar programs did exist and were used for years without any enfocement. in 2007 there was the wall hack in TW etc etc..

Online casinos built in programs that allowed them to bypass (back door) settings to rig tables and slots when they wanted in some cases it was shown. And absolute poker was caught with one of their workers rigging so they could rip off high rollers by seeing all the cards using a program.

Two games which I played when I was like 12, Silent Death and SST were both infiltrated by a hacker nicknamed Shz which eventually forced Electronic Arts to shut down one of those games due to no ability to stop his abuse on speed/rotation and other ship related metrics which excluded lag. He also did a ton of those stupid DOS attacks or whatever and crashed the server 100 times a day.

To deny that cheating never existed in TW is like denying that the sun rises and sets every day. You cannot deny whats already been documented. Nobody was really banned, there was no transparency really. No discipline of the top squads back then nor now.

So why in gods name would you expect your leagues to remain competetive if you cant even identify or enforce the most basics of fairness over the past 15 years. Thats beyond absurd and laughable. A game cannot remain competetive if theres no fairness or rules that remain constant all the time.

So answer me this. Was racka ever banned? Was sirius ever banned? Were Raspi, Deez Nuts or others ever questioned. The shit went down in THEIR squads or right around them. No because everyones too busy sleeping with each other i guess IDK.

Either way lets drop it. Obviously its a sensitive subject I really didnt mean to get this involved I just saw some signs of it in the real money game the other day and its making a mockery again of things. Nuff said.

modify your internetspeed settings @ provider page
play on your mobile connection
stream some shit
cablepulling
list goes on and on..
you just gotta find the right lag speed to own the game, its prety sad to play like that but lots of people do it

There is no form of cheating except SpecHunting. If you lag you are put on spec. If you hack the game it wont match the hex string value anymore and deny.

lol, trust me when i say this. I would not have the time, patience or desire to run, build or help a client, new or old. anyone who does this has my respect for the most part, this thread notwithstanding of course. its not easy to coordinate or run a game even a small one on a daily basis.

man, the last time i was there i had $75k chips I put on 3 hands and won 2 of them pushed on the last one. I Quit, that was a good time to quit for a while lol. I think if i go back id only bring $5-$6k now, maybe even less. too old now to risk like im still 22

no, not everyone. and skill level is not a prerequisite to cheating. Moreoever, cheating has been well documented since 1999, through various methods. One was being passed around relentlessly about 5-6 years ago in the community.

maybe you should use the brain you may have before you start talking like cheats are this taboo word that never existed in TW. an elitist cheating discretely with his gay friends is still a cheater. And half of them cheating would probably lose to ossify. The other half would win no matter what.

once you are able to dominate 75% of the trench wars population you are allowed to use a lagcheat engine. i thought everyone knew this

yeah well if i had the time, authority and if i actually gave a sh1t about the ladder or top scores or other garbage i might track down raspi, racka, sirius. and whatever other ip's there are and put them under the ban hammer for 10 years until they fess up which mods are complicit with what and which players are using what. oh but wait. 50% of them all already know, so why do it theres no need lol. its probably public policy to use them now im sure, if your one of the chosen ones right.. just as you say jones.
