AFAIK qan is working on getting zone back online, i believe he said something along the lines of emailing priitk to bring server back up. no ETA tho.

The server is responding to pings but TW, EG and Chaos are offline. This usually means that the server is booted up and the network is fine, but Subgame.exe is not running.

How can this happen?

1) An unplanned reboot would put the server in this state. No idea why this would happen unexpectedly.

2) Planned server maintenance by the hosting company. We would not be informed since the account holder would receive those emails.

3) Something more sinister...

Whenever this happens our first action is to email PriitK (the account holder) as he has the keys to login and boot up the server software.

There isn't much we can do except wait for PriitK to save the day. The zones are likely to return during the euro hours.

We are also going to propose a solution that will relieve this ongoing problem in future. It's not acceptable to have a 24 hour outage that we can't fix ourselves.

Fill in Zone: SSCU Trench Wars

Port: 5400

Then hit ok & download
Trenchwars should be listed as zone

TW Down 12/18/2017 - status update

We're experiencing some network problems. It appears to be not just our server but our host as a whole, because DSB, which is hosted by the same company, is also down. Some net diagnostics show the same thing.

This is better news than a normal outage, because it means Hopone should resolve it on their own. However, it's a bit late in the US, and I believe, generally speaking, the night crew tends to be greener than the day crowd (just guessing, as daytime hours are more desirable, and so probably go to senior staff). So if it's something major, it might not get resolved until the US morning.

Hopefully we'll be back up before too much longer.
