Started playing somewhere around '97 when things were still in beta. Quit when it went into production, heard it was public domain sometime late in 2000 and I haven't left since.

I started playing in summer of 1996 after finding this game on download.com or something like that, I was never particularly good and mostly played Warzone and Turf. The high points were mostly watching the two cool events Dueling Tournament which Mixman won, and Running Zone vs. Chaos Zone.
When it went retail I quit, later returned and played SVS Warzone, Space Duck Battle and Star Warzone, then I left again since it was getting boring pubbing all the time, then I came back again. This time I played Trench Wars, got decent and familarized myself with the whole thing, and I haven't left yet. Still play some SVS though and might get back into it.- k2

I started playing in 98' - I think - but under a different name.. It might have been 99' .. but it was awhile ago. All my guy friends played it, and I remember my neighbour playing the old school version of it..
but yeah, I think some of my guy friends were over at my house, and one decided to put it on my computer, and they just left it there, and i left it there.. and played it, but on a different name.. So yeah.. I played TW coz that was what my friends played.. I don't think they play anymore :s
But yeah, then I didn't play for a while, coz my computer got real fucked up, and then I came back in 00' or 01' with the name I have more..
Then I joined Blasphemous .. I think ? there might have been another squad before that.. then I joined Air.. and some other squads... that i don't remember. I just remember that I ALWAYS wanted to be on Floydians.. and I was so mad when the dissolved (Oh well..)
Ahh.. Umm.. Yeah. Now I'm on Sparton.. and don't play as much as I used to, coz I have my life to concentrate on now (School)
But yeah.. that's my history in a nutshell
(Ooooo Soooo exciting!!)Sina Olet Sootti :)

I started in Feb 1997, SS v1.21... played Alpha zone for a few months, then went to Running Zone. Played Pro League, my squad went 4-0 in pyramid league before Pro changed to a seasonal format. Played pro league exclusively for years after RZ died, then went to Trench Wars in the summer of 1999 as I was about to quit SS forever.
Got hooked on TW (while still playing Pro League), joined High Mage, a week later joined OBSiDEON with dock priitk and arilou, then FRAKTURE which later I turned into Elusive. Retired for a while and played for Vulch (as Vulch's first member), then remade Elusive. Now on Syndicate!

My story started with my friend introducing me to SubSpace and Trench Wars in late summer 2000. We used to be like 5 friends playing each other in pubs (we didn't know what priv arenas were). After a while my friends got bored, and I was the only one continuing playing the game, with the nick Markantalo.
In the beginning, I played only wb. With my 2nd nick, c0rN fl@kE, I played and played, and joined some squads like Roguemoon (my first chat!), Ultimate Retribution and Squad^X. Actually, at this point, I thought that Squad^X was a very good squad, and that I was very good, but after a while, I realized it wasn't really so. =D
A big step forward, something I will never regret, was when I joined SpiderHate around spring 2001. Many good players started in this squad, like myself, Sweeper, Jessus, Pakastin and Raspi. Raspi was the only player of those mentioned who wasn't with us anymore when we changed our name to <Ancients> (the squadname Ancients was taken). A while later, we got the name Ancients by it's owner. This was a good time, the time of squadduels in private arenas, trying in elim, and before I got introduced to TWL (don't mean leagues are bad, I love them). Sometimes around here, I changed my nick to Desperate.
Sometimes during 2002 Ancients went inactive, with alot of players, including the captain Sweeper concentrating more on real life. I decided to move on, and joined Zwarriors. This was late TWL Season 6, so I was able to play a couple of TWLDs. After leagues, Zwarriors dissolved/went inactive (can't remember which one), so I was squadless once again. I rejoined an inactive Ancients for a pretty short while, and I started javving more and more. But after a month or so, Slowbob invited me to join Unite. This was what Zeus calls Unite #2. Unite wasn't active either, and after Zeus and Nailed had left to create Dekai, I decided to leave Unite too. So, I was back in Ancients again.
This is where Ancients' big uphill starts. People started playing more, and finally we achieved our goal, by reaching TWLJ in Season 7. Because of many players beeing on holidays, we weren't always able to get enough players for our matches, but we did ok for beeing a first time league squad (4-6 win-loss), and reached playoffs, thanks to Shriek dissolving. We were the only ones besides Elusive to win Disoblige in the regular season! =P. Unfortunately, my comp messed up after round 7, so I wasn't able to play in the end of the season.
I got a new comp in september, and after a week my long-time subspace met irl friend Da1andonly asked me to join Disoblige. This was by far the hardest and sadest choice I've ever made, and after a day or two of thinking, I decided to move on, and leave my all time favourite squad Ancients, to join the very good and respected TWLJ and former TWLB champs Disoblige. So far, it has been a good choice, and I'm pretty sure Ancients will survive without me.
Well, this took a while, but that's pretty much it. Might have forgotten something, but you get the picture.
Hope you enjoyed it!

I started in the early 2002 when Abyss told me about this game hehe. I learned everything quickly mainly because I had ppl teaching me all the time. I joined Sk8 maybe June 2002 and I was soon promoted to be co-captain when abyss became inactive September 2002. I've always been very active (4300+ hours by now) so I think I did good job. I stayed there for almost 6 months. Early 2003 I became dissatisfied with Sk8 so I left. I flew squadless for about a month not even wanting to join any squad. Around February 2003 I joined Threaten and stayed there until it dissolved. After that, another month without a squad and then I joined Mambo. Maize is my real life friend too so Mambo was a good choice. Been here since. Of course I had bunch of newbie squads before Sk8 but I can't really remember them. I even ran my own squad called Moonlapse for some time hehe. It had 4 members and we used to own in private arena squad duels.last.fm - Keeping it short

I started playing on and off in 98 when I saw Ender playing SS. I used the name Izis which I think has around 3-4k usage. I played a lot in the summer of 99 but I was still a pub Newb then :P. I played DSB and some others zones but mainly TW. I joined -Waf- after that, from there I went to The Company, U F O then Euro ufo broke off to become diso. I joined RB a long time after that, then NS during the last TWL season when Old RB died. Since then I've rejoined and left RB. Now i'm squadless. I also joined Incuria for a day but redlights didn't like me being on his squad.
Edit: I lost the pw and email to Izis, so in 02 I switched to Kolar.Last edited by Kolar; 11-18-2003, 04:56 AM.

I started in 1997, when SubSpace was still in beta, v1.25. I bought the game when it went retail and still have the CD and Rincewind's strategy guide somewhere. Went from Chaos West to Powerball before quitting in late '98, then started in TW when I came back to the game in '01. I quit again sometime that year and came back again earlier this year.
heh, seems like everyone who quit after the retail release (those were boring times), came back right around 2001. Weird.Last edited by Sleepy Weasel; 11-18-2003, 04:41 PM.
