I think this is probably the best fundraising idea I've ever heard.

Here's a list of problems I found in the idea. I do think it is a good idea but you gotta be so freakin careful with these things:
-Random people hosting public events. Perhaps at least go by the "radio system" of them having to be trustworthy to host.
-Bots do go down - people will complain - want their money back, etc.
-If public events are hosted, it could be that they are hosted too often for anyone to care at all.
-People can and will abuse power, neglecting consequences.
-It takes away the motivation for anyone to become lower staff and/or move up in staff.
-If there were a large turnout of donors and bot recipients, it would be quite a job to monitor them all (perhaps limits?)
-Finally, pricing - this can't be $10 a month for a bot...this would spur most of the events I just stated. I think somewhere in the $50-100 range is appropriate, and there can be different prices for different kinds of bots. Maybe discounts for longer bot rentals and frequent rental bonuses? Just don't get carried away.
All constructive criticism - I'd like to see this concept go through.

Well, it seems like there are two different ideas here. I don't think any squad is going to be willing to fork over 50 dollars a month for the squadbot idea, but if TWL squads could pay 10-15 dollars a month to have the bot in their own private arena, it would definitely be cool, and hell, I'd pay my share. However, maybe some people would want to pay that much per month for the other deal? Or maybe you could rent it weekly? Daily? I don't know. I wouldn't really be interested in that, so I have no way to gauge what it would be worth.5:gen> man

*People would have to apply to get bots, let staffers choose
-Bots do go down - people will complain - want their money back, etc.
*Reschedule or refund I guess
-If public events are hosted, it could be that they are hosted too often for anyone to care at all.
*make it so the bots as a whole could only host the same event twice(or whatever seems good to staff) in 1 24 hour period
-People can and will abuse power, neglecting consequences.
*ban, make the penalties strict.
-It takes away the motivation for anyone to become lower staff and/or move up in staff.
*The rented bots won't host ALL of the games, just a few
-If there were a large turnout of donors and bot recipients, it would be quite a job to monitor them all (perhaps limits?)
*staff will create however many bots they want to rent out, I don't think the rented bots will destroy the zone, maybe a mandatory training class with ZeUs!!! himself

*They want people to rent them, so I doubt the prices would be sky high
