I DO AND WE SHOULD.. i hate to waste 30 minute when a captain left during the game because he's losing or when a captain doesn't listen to his players and make some weird lineup.. everyone whine but he doesn't care.. then 15 minute later.. everyone left.. or captain with no experience.. it's cool doing a GOOD PLAYERS vs BAD PLAYERS but sometimes.. waste of time..

We can work like elim.. you need to get at least 30 hours (only in ?go base) to be a captain (need another database for that i think).. or when a captain leave during a game.. he will get a penality.. he wont be able to cap for at least 1 week.. etc.. etc..

Someone should implement some kind of voting system.

a voting system like elim but for captains.. like.. we have 2 minute to choose who we want as cap then.. the persons with the most vote will be captain.. so we wont need any staff to start a match!! completly automatic

and people can message the bot with something like !mecap to get themselves nominated and then people can pick 1 through 1-9 just like those others said because i'm sick of fucking idiot captains i'm serious it's horrible.

It would be interesting to see something like this implemented. As long as the voting doesn't 'some how' make it worse. ;p Just have to find some twdev people who want to do it.

there are plusses and minuses. right now i would lean toward it not being changed because i feel the the people who pick the captains generally do a good job and sometimes there is a bad game but thats life.

Addy, the only problem with that is that if picking doesn't take enough time already, this will severely lengthen the time for the actual game to start.

The real problem is people with bot powers not knowing or maybe caring if the captains they assign will pick a good or bad team.

And, 99% of the time you can tell if it's going to be a bad or good game depending on who the captains are.

true but we can solve this by fucking axing people who give bad captains the captainship in the first place. I don't pick shitty captains, but if there is staff member in the arena i let them do it because i don't like to step on people's toes, but if they pick shitty captain i let them no about it in a not so quiet manner.

A 30 h usage limit for capping isn't worth it I think.
A list of "good" captains could be nice, or then theone who picks the caps could pick caps that know how to do it and do not change the whole team to warbird when they lost the initial FR fight (hi pooney!).
