PaulOakenfold is probably the only staffer I really noticed to be a decent person (at least on this forum), all his posts are generally meaningful, he's not abusive, best of all he doesn't post shit.
Tws needs more people like this on staff, instead of hiring immature little shitheads, or hiring someone because they're female, hire people who can do the job, not girls who may cyber you or send you their photo if you get them a staff position. I know several female staffers who were hired approximately 1-2 weeks after making friends with the dean of staff at the time, or some other influential mod, no way would they have been hired so fast if they were guys. Amusing nonetheless.

Amok, ur arguements will go unheard and uw ill get heavy heat for it. I said it when i was staff yet that there were way to many girls hired. Now yes, some of them are qualified, Bam been playing awhile, as well as demonic and such. But no offence to Elsie/lunor cresens <ZH> or something like that, but that girl dont know 1 thing about subspace. Sure she is the nicest person u'll ever meet in SS, and i can say she got that part covered, but as for her being useful for staff, there is no way in hell, When she was hired anyway that she was qualified. She got it bc she was a girl, plain and simple.

And amok, as long as u have ppl hiring staff, u'll have them hiring ppl theyknow and are friends with, simply bc they know what they are capable of. But lately i must say staff seems to be improving, i dunno if its the recent promotion of some <ZH> to <ER> or if its Push hiring new stuff or what. But it seems there isnt very many complaint of wrongful bannings on these forums, there is usualy a game being hosted, and well i havnt asked much on .?help but even if this didnt change, 2 outa 3 isnt bad.

I'd be willing to bet that she has, by far, the most frequent help callouts of anyone on staff.

While part of me (I wasn't aware Paul wasn't even axed) thinks it was unfair for Paul to be axed, I remember the same happening with F22 Raptor and Awesome going inactive due to work and family things etc and they got back on fine. Another part of me says that you didn't host at least 150 times a month you shouldn't be staff. But that's my opinion and I am a sad subapce geek so my standards will probably be higher than those of you with social lives, including Paul, because what I have noticed of him he is a nice guy, so I don't mean to be offensive.

dimboy, both F22 Raptor and i told the dean of staff at the time that we were both taking a "vacation from staff" as they request when you join staff if you plan to be inactive for whatever reason.

they ask that you give them a time frame for your return when you do so and fyi, when i returned, i was axed 2 days later for something trivial.

they dont tell you to make this "vacation from staff" a public event, cus no one really cares. but if you just go inactive and dont give a reason or inform the smods+ that you are doing so, obviously you'll get axed.

you should know this.

Adeon, as i said on my post, she was no sort of use when she was hired, she didnt know anything. Now she mite be different, but the fact remains she wasnt hired for her ability, bc back then she was useless, maybe if she was hired today or recently i'd change my arguement, but when i was staff w/ her she'd take a help call then ask on chat what the answer to it was, or how u do it or that. When any random person who played a little would know the answer.

Im sure there was more into firing Paul, which if he or push want to explain they will. I always thought paul was really nice and helpful, didnt host the most, but was a good <ZH>.

And no Cig... my axing was based on my inactivity of January and the first 9 days of February (which weren't all that inactive).

Guys, no real reason to complain, staff in tw has always been a joke (okay, now thats a more or less there, because there are some staffers out there who are quality, but few of them) tw is basically selfreliant - yes cheater calls go ignored and yes help calls go unanswered all the time, but staff hits the big ones (i.e. leagues are put together well, and cheating in leagues ir taken care of quickly - except if you're all biased and afraid to spec a smod for obviously lag chetaing, but hey - i guess we can't all be like mattey and stand up for whats right)

My point is this, all these staffers are trivial, none of this really matters. Leagues are the only thing thats got importance around here and it's done well.

No sense in complaining about general staff issues when they haven't improved in 4 years - they're obviously not going too. (Leagues however have greatly improved to a point where they aren't a punchline in other zones)

While staff I recomended Nickname for <ZH>, personally I think he would make a great <ZH>, along with Jason. Someone hire these and I'm not joking. While myself I have no problem with you hiring newbies as long as they do the job well as elite veterans. But a few familiar faces could shed some reassurance to the TW Public.

I agree with dimboy on this also, hiring a few reinsuring faces that ppl know wouldnt hurt. Its alwaysnice to see a vet or someone well known get <ZH>.
