an smod can do a mod's job
a mod can do an er's job
an er can do a zh's job

if the entire population of zh's that we had wanted to remain as a zh, we would be stagnating any spots to develope er's.

if there are two people who are both useful zh's, but one can also host, why would we need the other?

basically, i can do a zh's job and i can do an er's job, we don't need people only interested in doing 1, we need people who are going to help staff out as a whole in any facility they can.

that's my two cents.

Im not saying get a guy to do 1 thing. I Know that an <ER> can take a help call, i know that a mod can take a help call and so on. I also know mod+ can host the games <ER>'s can. What im saying is instead of having certain ppl as an <ER> who barly host, or jsut host the minimum games why not make them <ZH>? and the <ZH> who host more then some <ER> make them <ER>. They can still answer calls and do whatever, but atleast they'll be at a spot on staff they are MOST useful. That way we can get the most outa each staff member. Rite now u have certain <ZH> members who would make better <ER>'s. I wont name any names, but they ignore certain help calls until they HAVE to take it, or jsut get enuff for the bare minimum. Those guys would be much more useful hosting, and being able to answer help calls when they HAVE to. U get <ER>'s answering help calls b4 <ZH>'s and i see <ZH>'s playing. Those roles could be reversed. Ther are <ER>'s who baarely host, make them <ZH> give them power ina few arenas and BOOM they can host when they want to, and do wha thtey do best, answer help calls, communicate w/ public.

I agree I luv mama, but i think he was outdated for the job of dean. I think Push/p_L are the 2 best combo so far that i seen inawhile. I am hoping they read this thread, so i dont have to tal to them in game. Ppl tend not to like other ppl telling them how to improve something they run. but all these ideas are good ones. Again i dont know the deep plans, and i didnt think them out very good, its all off top of my head as i type, but i think those 2 could think it out more and do it.

Mama did a lot for staff but I can think of 20 people who could have done a better job then him. I think Cig's idea has some merit. One think though, I believe that TW Staff needs people who can be more then what they're assigned to (exp: ERs taking help calls). ZHs shouldn't be moved up just because they would do better as an ER while showing no effort as a ZH.

Like i said b4, i wouldnt hire someone just to host events, or someone jsut to bann, or someone jsut to take help calls bc he's a nice guy. The standard of hiring would be the same, but when u look @ the current <ZH>/<ER>'s now u can clearly tell who does a better job at <ZH> and who does a better job @ <ER>. its very rare that an <ER> takes a help call or cheater call anyway, unless no one else is on. I just think the quality of staff would rise and it would make ppl happier to have certain ppl doin the thing they do best. Like i said my idea was off the top of my head, but im sure with some tweaking it could work. I mean some <ER>'s like to only host a little, make them <ZH> and give them power ina few arenas. Then there are <ZH>'s u can jsut tell they enjoy hosting 100 x's more then help aclls, make them an <ER>. U can probably limit the # of arena htey got power in if u dont trust them full out. There are ppl who very good at communicating and helping ppl, while there are others who just dont do that well, or just cant explain a situation well, those guys shouldnt be a <ZH>, yet with the currennt "Ladder" system they are forced to be.

Let me ask you Cig, how come you know everything about staff? You're not in staff and you don't have a clue what's going on in the chat. For you information there's ER's who take help calls because they're bored or just wants to. And there is some new rules too which gives ZH's new events etc.

Im goin off of what happend when i was on staff chat, it was very rare that an <ER> took a help call, and it isnt there job to take a help call. And u made my point for me, those <ER>'s who like to take help calls should be <ZH> with more added events like u say. I by no means am tryin to offend neone, im trying to improve staff, if the idea is bad then its bad like i said i just thought of it while typing the 1 nite, if no one likes it then dont listen, it was a mere idea. Because i think u could get more out of staff if u had different ppl doin what they are best at. Its common knowledge, but the main problem is u have to go <ZH>--<ER>--Mod. No one wants to stay <ZH> even they they like it or are better at it for the simple fact it takes 2x's longer to get mod that way. Staff has <ZH> labbed at the lowest peak in staff, but it shouldnt be, <ZH> isnt really a hard job, but it takes people skillz, communication skills and a brain, not everyone is made out to do that, so when u find someone who is good @ it then u should keep them there, especialy if they dont host alot. I can tell just by looking at the staff list who will and wont like hosting and who will and wont be a great <ER> and who will and wont be better @ <ZH>. Dont take a genius.

I also konw when i see <ER>'s in baseelim, or <ER>s in pub and i do a help call, it takes me 3-4 helps calls till someone answers, and it is usualy a <ZH> who i can tell would be a better host. I dont have to be on staff chat to realize this much.

Personally, I loved being a <ZH> more than an <ER>. I guess it's just the way I am, because I enjoy talking to people. I really do agree with Cig here.

being an <ER> doesn't prevent you from talking to people, in fact, it magnifies it by like 30 times.

But Angell is making my point, he is an <ER> who even admits to likeing <ZH> better, yet he wouldnt go to it, nor would i bc it takes double the time to become the ultimate goal...mod. Thats my point, take out the "ladder" system, and let ppl who enjoy <ZH> more be a <ZH> and not have to wait as long for mod. Why not eliminate the tags, and limit staff's powers. What I mean by this is instead of being *hint hint* Rinse <ZH>, they would be Rinse but had access to help calls, some bots and some of the arenas. Over time they could gain more access or powers to different things. Or they could start off being able to host and later on gain help calls etc. This would eliminate the ladder and it would leave you with staffers.
