I hardly ever had problems with my connection until last week. Suddenly I got over 15% of packetloss and it is like that for a over a week now.
I got cable and ofcourse you have some packetloss there but I never had problems with that before.

You should move to Finland and by an ADSL 2MB/sec

Packetloss is caused when the connection between your computer and the server is congested. This can happen anywhere from your PC to the hundred's of routers that make up the link between you and the server.

Packetloss happens when a router (or link) is overloaded and can no longer cope with the amount of traffic that is trying to get through. If your not familar with how the internet works, consider it to be a highway. Every now and then there's a traffic jam and some people just don't make it to their destinations on time. If a packet does not arrive at the server or client within the time specified or never arrives at all, it is a lost packet.

If the problem is with in your ISP's network then I'd recommend getting on the phone to them and asking them to resolve the problem.

Downloading other things or if your computer is doing other things in the background at the same time, can also cause packetloss problems for you.

There is not really anything Trench Wars can do about it, as it's not TW causing the problem. If it were TW, then everyone would have the problem not just you.

I have to disagree with you just a bit. A majority of the time, my connection is successfully routed (by successfully I mean < 200ms and < 0.5% ploss) right up until it runs into Sonera's disgustingly horrid infrastructure.

I got the same problem always had a great connection and now it sux

i hear from lots of other people having the same trouble.

my ping is always around 60 but pl is from 4-49

when i do a trace all is well no pl good ping (60)

when i do a tracert or ping -t from out DOS no packetloss either and a good ping again.

all this started around 2 week aggo after trench was down for some time.

                  conclusion:
lot of people have it (different routers !!)
                  connection is ok
                  all used to be ok
it only occurs when in Continuum programm

it must be a problem with the trench programm or server !!!

                  pls help ????

lol when i go to a prac arena and am allone there i get disconnected.....???? doesnt happen when there are people ???

im in canada and i leave the north american servers in the US at about 30-40ms and when i hit the first sonera servers in Europe i instantly jump to anywhere from 130-160ms, but often from 160-180ms

about a year ago or so....i used to still have the jump, but only to about 120-140....the lag has increase 30-60 ms on the european side in the last year

There are no more proxies for Continuum.

See, the problem is that while my dorm receives 10mbits LAN connection, and I have an average of 30ms lag sometimes coupled with an staggering 20% ploss. This ploss goes down (sometimes) after 7pm or so when there are less users logged onto pennstate portal and such. Its not the speed of the connection, its the plossyness.
