Is there a shortcut/hotkey for minimizing all programs and going to your desktop for WinXP? If there isn't ... how can I do this (suggest some programs?)?

dont be lazy, just window and minimize everything, or on your quick launch bar click "show desktop"
Ill-timed force will be ineffective; act with precision; timing is everything. Knowing where and when to strike is more important than strength; misapplied ability is disability. Unreasonable or undue force will defeat itself

      windowskey-M = Minimize all
      windowskey-D = Show/restore desktop

      Almost the same but....not.

just so you know the windows key is right beside the left ctrl

other things you can do is

        Windows key - r (Run)
        Windows key - m (desktop)
windows key - e (Opens up windows explorer)
windows key (puts start menu up)

I just use the button in the quick launch toolbar that minimizes everything.

The quick launch button is a show desktop, not a minimize all. The minuscule difference is that 1) hitting show desktop again brings your windows back and 2) show desktop gets the dialog boxes, etc. that aren't "windows" (minimize all works only on windows).

Alt-space, n to minimize the current window.

F11 for you expose using cool people who want to see the desktop.
