Let me start by saying I'm basically reiterating my long-standing viewpoint and some of you can tune out right now. Which would be much better than adding your garbage input (Paradise).
Also, I mean no disrespect to any players or efforts on the part of the staff.
The last two Jav league finals have gone to round 4. I understand no one really cares, but I still want to point this out.
Having the ability to refuse fighting and end the game on time or prolong it to an extra round should not be a viable strategy. Even if it occurs naturally, rounds should never end in a tie or by time.
Proposed solution:
When the timer runs out and the game has not ended by score, players get warped to a small box with no walls and continue the round via a 1v1 shootout until the round is decided.
This will be disadvantageous to the team with more players remaining, but they will have squandered an opportunity to end the game in regulation time.
Think of it like a penalty shoot out from soccer.
In my opinion, this will be more exciting for the players and spectators.
A possible ancillary benefit of this type of game format is the potential of raising the skill level of mediocre players.
I'm sure there are some variables I am forgetting and this could be a coding nightmare for a situation that rarely occurs, but it is still worth considering as it would drastically alter the end game in many rounds for the better.
