Prompt: What advice do you have for a 65 year old Subspace player that refuses to change their playstyle even though nobody wants to play with them, constantly whines, attacks staff, attacks players, and generally is just incredibly toxic?
"Hey,
It’s clear you’ve been playing Subspace for a long time, and sticking to the same playstyle might feel natural—but it’s time to face reality: if nobody wants to play with you, the problem isn’t everyone else. It’s you.
Constantly whining, attacking staff, and being toxic toward other players doesn’t make the game better for anyone, including yourself. Subspace is about community and teamwork, and the way you’re acting is driving people away.
Here’s the deal:- Adapt or stay alone – The game evolves, and so should you. Refusing to change means you’ll keep isolating yourself.
- Stop attacking others – Toxic behavior ruins the game. Be someone people want to play with, not avoid.
- Own your part – If everyone’s pointing out issues, maybe it’s time to look in the mirror. A little self-awareness can go a long way.
- Remember why you’re here – Games are supposed to be fun. If you’re always angry and frustrated, take a step back and rethink how you’re approaching the game.
You’ve been around long enough to know better. It’s not too late to change, but that’s on you. If you want people to play with, start acting like someone worth playing with."

Prompt:
How to deal with someone in an MMO game that everyone hates and nobody wants to play with but keeps playing and refuses to quit and makes the game worse for everyone else with their playstyle and constant whining?
ChatGPT:
Dealing with someone in an MMO that everyone dislikes, who refuses to quit despite making the experience worse with their playstyle and whining, is challenging. However, you can take the following steps to manage the situation without escalating drama:
1. Use In-Game Tools to Limit Interaction- Most MMOs offer tools to manage problematic players:
- Mute/Ignore: Block their chat and voice communications so you can’t see their negativity.
- Blacklist: Some games let you block players entirely, preventing you from being matched with them.
- Report: If they’re disruptive, abusive, or violating terms of service, report them to moderators.
- These tools are there for a reason—use them to keep your gameplay enjoyable.
2. Avoid Engaging with Them- Engaging directly—whether arguing, complaining, or confronting—feeds their behavior and gives them attention.
- Keep interactions minimal and neutral:
- "Okay, noted. Let’s move on."
- Simply don’t respond to whining or complaints.
3. Set Boundaries as a Community- If you’re part of a guild or larger community, agree on how to handle the player:
- Avoid grouping with them.
- Communicate clearly: “We’re working on this objective as a focused group. Sorry, it’s not open right now.”
4. Encourage Group Consensus for Action- If their behavior impacts group activities (e.g., raids, PvP matches), discuss as a group:
- Vote-Kick: Many MMOs allow players to kick someone from a party or instance when their behavior is disruptive.
- Set clear expectations: "We need everyone focused and positive for this raid. If you can’t align, we’ll have to replace you."
5. Report and Move On- If the player consistently disrupts gameplay (griefing, trolling, or toxic behavior), reporting them to moderators is the best long-term solution.
- Encourage others who feel similarly to submit reports as well. Developers typically take community-wide complaints seriously.

Best continues his aggressive illegal teamkilling towards me ruining the 16th game in a row doing this BS. I'd appreciate a staffer taking action on this abusive idiot. Surely a timeout ban is in order. It ruins my ratings, skews overall MMR ranking data collections and causes an entire team to suffer. I don't wanna hear ur jokes either or have people derail this thread. He continues doing it and needs to be dealt with. Surely the screenshots and calls I have made and the threads I have made by now prove this guy is out of control and needs to be dealt with harshly.

I make an amazing kill on an enemy and best purposely lobs a bomb and kills me.

I reenter after the teamkill to be met again by best hovering to either catch nme bombs or lob at me when I engage them.

As the enemy is engages as predicted best moves in for a purposeful teamkill and kills me.

Best has purposely harassed me catching bombs to kill me 4 times doing prox damage and teamkilled me 3 times going 3-10 with 3 clear teamkills I have shown. By the text it is confirmed he is doing it and lying about the fact he has. This is blatant and everyone knows it. DEAL WITH THIS GUY.
Co-Pilot response. "how to deal with an abusive player teamkilling in a mmo game ------------
Dealing with player abuse and teamkilling in an MMO game can be challenging, but here are some strategies to help manage and mitigate these issues:- Report the Player: Most MMOs have a reporting system. Use it to report the offending player for teamkilling or abusive behavior. Provide as much detail as possible to help the game moderators take appropriate action."
Sincerely, Jessup

Lmao almost 2x second place with 1000 less gamesOriginally posted by cubone View PostIf a single person was banned, MMR issues could be reduced significantly. There's a single person who has single handedly led to many players quitting or refusing to play MMR when he is signed up. This person has spent well over 20 hours as the last player alive, often running the clock out rather than fighting.
That same person is the source of dozens of forum threads complaining about unfairness and various other imaginary disputes. If you were to eliminate that one single person, quality of games would go up, average time of games would go down, and more vets would become active. Seems like a pretty easy decision.
Dropping this here yet again as a reminder of which person it is:
impressive

Signs You Have a Victimhood Mindset
It’s normal to be unsatisfied in some parts of your life. But it’s important to look at the bigger picture. If you notice similar patterns across different areas of your life, you might have a victim mentality.
The first step to solving a problem is to identify and acknowledge it. Look for these signs in yourself to see if you might have adopted a victim mentality:- You blame others for the way your life is.
- You truly think life is against you.
- You have trouble coping with problems in your life and feel powerless against them.
- You feel stuck in life and approach things with a negative attitude.
- You feel attacked when someone tries to offer helpful feedback.
- Feeling bad for yourself gives you relief or pleasure.
- You attract people who blame others and complain about their life.
- It’s difficult for you to examine yourself and make changes.

How are you going to post something you’re the poster child for and convince yourself that you’re not the problem lol
it’s been years stop lying to yourself.
I don’t even play anymore and you’re still tryna rope me into your delusions and push victim narratives 😂
you’ve gotten older and still never grew up
keep your bullshit buzzwords to obscure the fact you’ve never been a victim out my face please and thank you.
