I'm sorry if I came off as "unappreciative" of the new MVP system. It seems pretty good so far, besides the few problems that have been mentioned. Oh, spiders can still get MVP, but only when they have an excellent game, and usually when they have far more points than anyone else. I do also think that the terrier's formula should be a bit toned down, too. Yeah, I do think that this system is better than the old one, but the ship change problem is pretty big, and pretty much breaks the entire system, IMO.

Here is a bug list which I think needs to be rectified.
Terr Kill for shark and wb has to be increased to 0.12.
Death for terrs needed to be increased to 0.12 as well. This will balance itself out since they get insane rating boost for kills + points anyway. The point coefficient for terrs needs to be reduced from 0.9points to either .85points.
Ship changes need to be banned from getting MVP
jav needs to be changed to: jav: .5Points * (.05wb + .07jav + .06spid + 0.12terr + .07x + .05lanc + .08shark - .06deaths - .08tks)
These improvements would probably make it a lot fairer to determine MVP however as stated several times before I probably cannot make these changes therefore someone who has access to the bot code needs to take initiative and make these changes. I got MVP today and I was playing as a shark..... I was shocked!
Played shark the whole game and had a 1:1 ratio too
Personally I don't care about getting MVP but I do think they are doing a good job tweeking the MVP settings.

I would like the bot announcing top 3 mvps with the points they got after every game. (yes i know there's this !rating thing but still)
Instead of telling just the name of mvp it could do (bru is best runner up or something like that :P )

Now I just with I'd know how the different numbers actually affect the score. Is agressive mining good or bad etc.

From looking at the numbers it seems it is better to kill than it is to die with repels left. Aggresive sharking usually causes u to rep less because u are more concerned with mining, so if that was ur question than yes better be aggressive. It will not affect ur average rep left number by much.-L3

The new system will use votes at the end of the game to adjust the stat weights for MVP? I'm just wondering, but will weither or not your team wins also be used or is it assumed that the voter will take the win into account when voting? That way non-pointbased stats that are higher on the winning terr will be taken into account. (such as low deaths for a terr)

It will make it slower than usual. It can't "judge" people. He only sees variables which are available to him. The learning part means he needs to add his own new variables each time someone gets MVP and even more stuff. Thus it will make it slower.Light is faster than sound. That is why people look bright, until you hear them.

Hmm what about a rating system where people get points for certain actions?
For example getting a terr kill counts as like 1000 points, sharks are like 500m rest 600, flag touches are 1000 etc etc.
My numbers are just off the fly but have a bot calculate a person's score based on what they did in the game, not just flag touches or kills... any thoughts?Mayo Inc. - We should change god's name to "Tod"... see if there's any followers. - Mattey

What is more important thatn given points of functions is what variables should be measured. And what can be implemented to a big extent. Some variables might seem like a great idea but they are a nightmare to implement. An example of this is the multikill. I have a rough idea of how to implement it but it is far complicated than what have been implemented so far.
