TWD NIGHTS FOR TWDT

With TWDT back I'd like to encourage captains and draft squads to practice and compete together outside of Sunday matches. To support this push, we're going to be blocking off 2 evenings per week to TWD-only matches during scheduled windows, similar to Wednesday night basing.

MMR will not be hosted during these times and will resume once the TWD time blocks expire.

So, I didn't know about the Tuesday and Thursday TWD schedule until I saw it on the forum today. Do we have zone messages with the schedule?

Also, some people want to JAV or WB TWD but have gotten too lazy sucking off the MMR-Teet. Someone will challenge but no one will accept said Omega Red today.


I say you need to be the grown up and not give in and do MMR just because people are lazy. Fuck them, they don't get to play if they won't use TWD during the scheduled times.

I'm calling for hosts who break the schedule, like Omega Red, to lose MMR hosting powers for three days. I love OR but his (and other hosts) current actions are bad for the zone.

Is this in any way related to you demanding that TWD start today, trying to get a 5v5 BD going (and failing), and then nobody playing anything until MMR was restarted due to no activity?

The unwarranted extreme hate for MMR is so weird to me. You'd rather people just sit afk and play nothing over MMR? That doesn't seem 'bad for the zone' to you?

Calling for hosts to lose their powers isn't necessary in this situation, JacKie>. The push for "TWD" nights is to improve the match quality we've seen for months/weeks leading up to TWDT, allowing squads to be more selective about who is playing for a ~2-3 hour window. Of course, this only works if there are enough higher skilled players logging in, which is definitely not a guarantee.

To cubone's point, if "TWD nights" isn't working out as intended, I'd rather the zone activity not sit empty for those 3 hours. However, I am still looking for more ways we can provide a dedicated window of "higher quality" matches which aren't watered down with constant 0-10 and 1-10 players. Wednesday night basing has been successful, and I've personally loved seeing how quickly base matches can be setup when there's enough activity (hellkite and zapata were adding full teams in under 3 minutes this past Wednesday)

MMR killed TWD is one of the dumbest takes I've heard. TWD died a long time ago. They had to add borrows years ago just to enable 3v3 in DD/JD and it still died. Acting like MMR killed TWD just shows how blinded your hatred for MMR has made you.

2pac is likely referring to these misleading 'TWD stats' in the top right of the TWD site. He's been away for awhile though and likely wasn't aware MMR matches are also included in these 'TWD match stats' as they are both built into the same MatchBot core. I'm unsure if other non-TWD/MMR matches are included in those stats, or not.


TWD Nights hasn't taken off even remotely as I was hoping it would. Luckily, TWDT has brought another population resurgence which has made the MMR match quality more-bearable.

I am not going to alter the current schedule for the time being as I still would encourage players to ditch the 'old' TWD days where it was frowned upon to have a long Squad History attached to your TWD name. Players joining TWD rosters for the team they are playing leagues with has enabled a handful of TWD matches without having to spam !borrows, which is nice.
