Upon a conversation about how I like the twdtj arena more than the twjd arena, this idea spawned:

what if each arena # was different, mainly for jav and basing, since wb kinda the same regardless

so like, ?Go twjd is the map it is
but ?go twjd2 is the twlj map
then ?go twjd3 is the twdtj map

then for basing, same thing
?go twbd is the map now
?go twbd2 is the twdtb map
?go twbd3 could be one of the other dozen basing maps that exist


then perhaps twd can become more interesting? it would be like tennis sorta, in that some squads might only be good in one arena or something. i think it would be more interesting. thoughts?

For base, im thinking next twl (if there is one) we should have a totally new map. Everyone has memorized the bounce patterns for the bursts and all the camp spots. It is repetitive and boring. Need change!

I think a healthier option is to just keep the original arenas, and every TWL a new arena (approved arena of course through VERY secret testing etc.) could be introduced to play in. Then every season a new TWL map could increase competition (and also bitching!).

It sounds tempting but these maps are tested for years and years. No loopholes ect.

Only thing why i'd do the change is that with totally different map, experience wouldnt matter as much as it matters now. I mean some nerds memorize all the shots for example in belim.

It would be nice to try playing on a totally random jav map every game.

For changing the numbered jd arenas, what if two squads that wanted to jd agreed on a particular map but disagreed on every other one. They'd have to wait if that particular numbered map was taken by another duel, no? Not very efficient for people who can't always have 4 on at every hour. (Granted, this really only affects squads with inactives or small rosters = new squads)

How about instead of each arena having different maps, just put all the different varieties into each arena (the map doesn't always have to be in the center...), and maybe challenge system goes something like ::!challenge penetrate:4:jd or ::!challenge penetrate:4:lj. Then the bot will set the coord's to that certain map, and then you play. That way you do not need to go into a specific twd arena to play a different map (and people won't need to wait to get into that specific twd arena to play that certain map).

How about every squad makes their own base map and you could do

or !challenge brainwave:6:2 to bd in the base made by bw.

can't really bitch about it if there are other arenas open, and the point of this game is supposed to be having fun. if you don't like the arena, don't play in it
