    stop being faggots and defending this rule; it doesn't effect you so you shouldn't really care either way. if you're so adamant about keeping -35 on your roster, do so regardless of the rule-but don't try to influence a pretty drastic decision with your opinions when technically (because you will have 35 or less rostered anyway) it doesn't matter.

    i know it would require some more programming, but what about an "inactive reserve" list to cover the people turban is talking about. in sports that have injured reserves, and teams can move players back and forth from this. just make it so that if you switch someone, you can't move them on/off the inactive reserve for 24 hours or something.

    this would allow squads to designate 5-10 players that they would want to play if they were on, but would have to move one of their active guys over to the reserve list for a day.

    other than the additional programming requirements, what do you all say to this idea?

    im willing to look at the numbers and let this play out for a while.

    if this change really does increase overall activity of twd, then its a success. if it doesnt then its not.

    we have to wait and see. i guess i can deal with that.

    Yes, let's sit here and assume and bitch about what this new rule change is going to do to activity instead of actually seeing how it plays out. We still have squads way over the cap and as of right now it looks like TWD is still active even tho' 4-5 squads have dropped down to the cap.

    i still really dont get this.
    lower the twl limits. i can understand that. but... twd is active. its during the off season.


    what can possibly be more important during the off season than having twd active? and by active i mean more players playing - not necessarily more squads.

    what i propose, look at whats been goin on since twl ended. look at the average games per day in twd. i dont care which squads play a billion times and which ones play 2 games. take all those games and add them up. get a games per day thing goin on. id also say take a look at the number of unique people playing games and their games per day.

    now, compare that number with what goes on after this roster limit goes into effect. since what we are doing is a benefit to the twd system we should see things like:
    - increase of overall twd games per day
    - increase of unique twd participants
    - increase of a twd participants games per day


    if all of that actually happens, then this might be a successful change.

    howabout no cap (or at very minimum 50) on twd and 20-person limits on TWL squads. that way the inactives can have "pop on and play" squads and then the active players can break off and make smaller squads for TWL which will also create new squads due to the cap, keeping TWL competitive and exclusive while maintaining the entertainment value of TWD? whoever posts immediately after me is a homosexual

    edit: the point of twd is a sort of training grounds for TWL. what squad is gonna wanna be recruiting new people if they always have the pressure of a roster cap? how can you farm out the good 3 or 4 players out of a mass recruit when you can't mass recruit? knowing that TWL is a 20-player-per-squad league will have plenty of impact on TWD competitiveness while avoiding the problems actually associated with it.
