This is the only vote within the last year or more, only 47 people voted, and the poll questions are obviously biased towards a roster cap (especially since lf's first post basically said he wanted a cap)
I hope you aren't referring to that hard hitting piece of evidence as your source that this zone wants this failure of a capping system in place.

Rofl, your telling me staff is going to not allow squads with 35 players or more to accept or challenge in twd and/or axe players manually from their rosters if the captain refuses to do so himself. You must be high or forget that this is a dying 2d spaceship game and that would be extremely fucking stupid to do. Captains, don't put up with this retarded shit, anyone with half a brain cell knows this idea is a failure. We can all look back in three months and laugh about when staff thought they could force captains to have a player limit.

There is no guideline how to do this since this is the first time, we will figure the best way.
And I hear some people would like 40 better. Well like I said, roster cap can be adjusted, theres still more than a week till we get this done enyways.
Ill look into that one more poll which was made too, but I've seen many polls already and roster cap has been wanted and talked about for a long time, its time to act.

pretty easy to add a command to the bots to not allow !challenge or !accept commands to squads with over 35.
in regards to the actual rule change, I am not really against it. I would like a 5 player "injured reserve" style feature to bring squad totals up to 40.
IMO this will just be a bunch of bitching for a month or so, then the zone will see a new equilibrium, if its worse, ops will switch it back.
lets give it a try eh?

Just don't axe anyone, Reab is right, staff can't really force you to do it without resorting to forcibly axing people off of peoples rosters.

I think what's most discouraging about this is, I've worked pretty hard to bring EG'ers into this game, and after merging my squad and doubling our roster we may have to cut some of the EG'ers (obviously I'd give axe-immunity to those who are most hopeful)who I've formed good relationships with and see potential in. Not only that, but getting axed may make them lose interest in the zone, as they may feel hopeless and as if they dont know where to go for recruitment. This is a worst case scenario, but it applies.
I vote for a roster cap of 40.

Probably nothing Reab, I don't see how staff is going to really enforce a 35 player limit unless it automatically axes the last X amount of players who joined the squad until it gets to the first 35 who joined. I think that would be a pretty retarded solution and probably just piss people off.
Also it isn't like they can actually do anything anyways seeing as how its twd off season, it isn't like they can threaten to hold you out of twl or anything.
