i think the pros of the new competition and twd activity outweigh the cons of losing older players who've moved on from this game. there are 11 competitive squads coming into this season's near-TWL TWD reset.. weren't we struggling to get 8 squads to compete for the last like 4-5 years? let alone 11 (80%+ of which that can actually show a decent line come league time)

not to mention all the roster movement that will take place..

if i had to choose between pleasing the inactive players (who hardly long on) by lifting the roster cap and pleasing the active players (who are on every day) i'd choose the active players

Increase the cap to max 50. Make it so when a new player joins this game... they have gotta to join a squad to play- but make it simple: they can register on the spot and pick a squad without having to do so on website. Caps will have to live with it and teach the fuckers to play. GG

in a game with a painfully dwindling population, one that's augmented in part by old timers who are (admittedly) inactive, the message is:

The biggest problem this game faces is the decline of population. Only a few years back there were 16 squads in each TWL, with over 100 on the TWDD ladder.

Today:

We have less squads than ever, the rostercap came into place to remedy this issue by making us remove players and hoping they would create new squads.

The plan failed because:

-there are no new squads by people who were axed. Pretty much same captains as last season.
-inactive players who were removed have lost the ability to just log in and play a game when they feel like it. Because of this, probably a whole lot of inactive players have simply stopped logging on.
-older squads who suffered greatly from this cap have stated they need more members to keep the squad active. Less activity -> less people likely to join -> inactive (dead) squad, which probably won't be in twl next season

Glad I found this post, Paladen totally died because of roster limit. We are used to having a lot of people in our squad who come on every so often to play. Really screwed us on players and people who wanted to retire to the squad -.-
