Well well, Nickname has been wondering where I've wandered off too and for all those people who have been wondering that I haven't explictly mentioned I might as well explain now So those who don't care can skip the first paragraph.

The thing is I just graduated from university so I need to get everything in track. Ie get a job, plus I'll be moving to a different country and have to get settled. That is why I haven't been that active towards the end of light's season where I couldn't help them. However, to my credit I did try my best to show up to the games and atleast participate, if not in skill atleast to boost morale and that I presume to my squad atleast was appreciated. For now, I'll be off to Australia to see what my future entails and probably won't be logging onto ss for about 4 months. So, thats where I've been recently and my life gossip.

Now for the discussion at hand. The whole idea of having a ranking system which distinquishes the top 10 javs is absolutely absurd. I don't think such a distinction can be made for just a vague criteria as an overall jav. The rules must be more specific. For example: you have to say, the people who have been active in TWL and have been voted into the allstar game. Although people might not agree with the pick in the allstar game, it is still the most unbaised ranking of the allstars than anyone individual opinion will entail including mine.

The problem with my philosiphy is that, I don't even believe a ranking of top 10 javs exist. I know that it would be nice to have one however, but I honestly don't think its possible. For example: does a person who can beat another person in a 1v1 duel be greater than the other person when they consistantly lose in 2v2 duels? Some people might think this will not happen but that is untrue. This happens all the time. There are many more examples such as this, and I have reached a conclusion that you can't label a single jav better than another except put them in brackets vaguely depending on the skill.

I know that this analogy can only be appreciated by people who know physics properly but its a good analogy.
Think of it as a quantum shells in an atom. If we just take the energy levels and disregard the shapes and orientations, you can see that the further you go up the more closer the lines get.

So a person at the neucleus would be a person totally lacking in jav skill or a total newbie.
A person at n=1 would be an average javer.
A person at n=2 would be better.
A person at n=3 would be good.
A person at n=4 would be elite
A person at n=5 would be better than that.

The higher a person is ranked on this ladder the better they are but the differnence in skill isn't that significant. They will know some master techniques which people with lower skill will find more difficult to perform. The people will consistantly lose but not by very big margins. It will always be close if they are at the higher levels.

Now, all the people in the same skill level cannot be ranked. Its just that each has specialized in their own style of play which has its own weaknesses and advantages. There is no perfect playing style and that is the fun of javs. If someone was invincible then it would be no fun. However, the higher level players will be able to minimize the counter tactics to a greater degree than a lower level player can.

The model I presented above is a vague model for the sake of explaination and hasn't been researched or documented fully. I mean there are way more levels than 5 and more sublevels etc just like a atom. However, for the simplicity of the explanation, I simplified the model.

The main point of the my whole argument was that you cannot rank players in the same group level because there will be areas in which they excel over the other players in the same level. For example: I might be a good teamer but I would probably lose to a person in a baseelim game because I never play that map however I would most likely win in the javs map. So this doesn't necessarily mean that I am better than him nor does that mean that he is better than me. Its just that we've spent our time practicising different things and are specialised at our own niche.

shriek's jav lineup, atleast when they were all active and cared .. i say that cuz u can't beat them, no matter which 5 people you throw in against them. Teamwork is key, who gives a shit what one guy can do. I remember one game against light in twd where even though rough was 9-1, we still beat the shit outta them, he didn't have anyone to back him up.

I kinda only read the beginning and the very end of this thread, but whoever was talking about these lists being about overall skill needs to take into consideration that no single "great" player can take on a good team. And thats all that really matters in twl/twd, right?

Regarding towards this thread i think that MOST of the ppl mentioned will be top 50. However i think you cannot make a top 10 with number 1 to number 10 cause it will get to hard making comparisations.

P.S. I havent picked any of pirates which i think is not fair regarding to how much you like ppl and dont like ppl, i've made it regarding to skill not regarding to friendship. I dont care if i would be on it or not, neither should others do cause this will always be a guess, and it doesnt matter what skill you have, it matters how good you do in matches, and in matches there will always be a percentage of luck/lag involved(which ppl always claim i have, and i like IT).
