mambo is strong, really strong this season. from what i see right now, they have a really good chance of taking the title. however, like i posted before, changes will happen before and during twl, so can't really make a good prediction until roster lock. even then, a squad can go "bye-bye".

Here's a guarantee I'll make without reservation. Mambo's roster won't change between now and the end of TWL7. I'd even go so far as to say it will not have changed months and months after TWL7 is over. Aside from a few recent pickups, those being Lemon, myself, Appleseed and Mulkero, the rest of the guys have been around and loyal since the inception of the squad. When it comes to us newer guys, Mulkero is a past Mambonian who's come back home, and I know I'm not going anywhere 'cause my squaddies are the tops. As for Lemon and Apple, those two fruitcakes will stick around as well. We've got a mini Cripples reunion going on between them, M_M and myself.

Anyway, after all that blabbering, I just want to reiterate that we're rock solid. :]

yeah, to be honest, I recently started basing, so when i read these threads, all i see is spastic, diso, pallies - i didnt even being to think mambo was one of the great squads (my only real contact with them being the player anticapitalist in go base, who didnt appear that great to me, but maybe she was half assing?)

Basing is for girls. Also good duelists are mainly loners (geeks) that left this forum after being bashed for arrogance and lack of social/communication skills.

That is probably true IN game. But the fact that there are probably more duelers who care about duelign and basing then there are basers who care about basing and dueling makes basing such a big thing. Also on there forums it seems like there is more "pure" basing guys who post then "pure" dueling guys. So i think suff is rite saying that. Not to mention the finals are always held on different times. Basing probably gets close to as many ppl as dueling finals do cept that alot of duelers are inactive cept for there games. SO they dont watch the TWLB final. When the TWLD final comes around alot of basers watch it just bc its something interesting to witness. Its stupid to constnatly have these bickering arguements about who is more popular and who is more skilled. Fact is basing and dueling are linked together in many ways and there are many players who excell in them both.

Neth- ya u guys were having lag probs but when someone lagged out we'd spec our guy to =) we tried to keep it atleast fair #'s. ALthough u didnt have brookus on u still had some nice basers on. I wasnt braggin that we beat u guys i was just naming the list of last so many games

Basing will come down to what it always comes down to : lag and who shows up. Just going by rosters, Mambo and Pallies probably have the best shots to win. But, as mentioned before, Pallies will lose people during the summer. Mambo is the toughest team I've played against in twbd recently and I don't think M_M was on during those games.

P_L I don't see why you see diso as inactive? We are more active then ever atm. The point is, we are active from like 1-4/5 est. And during that time only.

RB have another jav/wb apart from k2grey? With him they stand a good chance of reaching the latter stages of twlb. If they do have another decent jav then I am mistaken. Their spider power is good but without the essential jav/wb player they could be on a rocky road to the playoffs.

Diso has shark problems I know, we are trying to sort them out before twl.

Mambo look really good this season and appear to have moulded as a team.

Pallies look a lot stronger than last season and if they put the effort in, I believe they can go all the way.

Spastic have lost some players but still have quite a solid roster, especially sharks. Down to the terr

Wr has a very impressive team of spiders with Pyro malla and of course Ezo along with P_l who can play what ship he is needed to play in. Their old roster was damn good and with the new additions playoffs is a must after their narrow miss last season.

A-s look stronger than last season. There is work to be done if they want to beat all the teams above though.

Melee could make it but their roster just dosen't seem good enough.

Awesome, I opened the thread up to anyone that wanted to post predictions about anything. If you really want to see those dueling and javing predictions, post them up yourself. Whining and complaining about nonsense will get you... well nonsense.

I only posted my basing predictions because that's the only one I could safely make. I could make dueling and javing predictions, perhaps come pretty close, but it wouldn't be fair. Just as Nick will be posting Basing predictions, but they won't be fair (he'll do em anyways since he really doesn't care).

Perhaps it's only the basers that argue because we really have fun with the leagues. Though the basing community is much smaller than the dueling/javing community, it is growing at an increasingly rapid pace BECAUSE of the activity within the community. There's no reason to bash our tendencies, we just like to add that little bit of competition in there because if you're playing this game for fun, you might as well, no?

i think that maybe the community is growing, but the diversity of teams is shrinking. last year there was actually competition to get in league... this year there are like 14 above par squads and the rest have rosters in which there is not a single good baser. it is because of rejected basers, i swear. probably a good half of the ?go basers in tw or more have been on that squad.. and once players join a squad they never tend to go to a worse one. since rb accepts so many people, yatta yatta yatta. plus no one wants to start basing squads cause it is really hard even if you have a big name. the roster limit next season should be 25 people..
