So because 56k is "out of date" for a 2d game that was made when 28.8k was the standard, I should not be able to play?
No, I do not think that someone with 28.8k should be able to play, I understand that SS should proceed with technology. However, while people can buy a 56k modem, I can not subscribe to DSL or Cable. It is not provided.

yesterday when i was playing at ?go base, there was some random shark that wouldnt die. First off, after he laid a couple mines and boosted a bit (his energy would have been low) i went with my terr and bulleted him twice. He didnt die. Then our shark flew in front of him and layed a mine, the guy just rammed through it and didnt die. Then when he was at fr entrance, he laid a mine and our shark repped it. The mine exploded right beside him, he would be at less than 100 energy so i bulleted him twice again, he didnt die. Finally 3 spids started shooting him like crazy, and after a couple seconds he blew up. I dont know how this happened, but the guy didnt appear to be lagging at all. Lag is such a weird thing, especially a laggy shark.

Won't you just think about everyone else? What would happen if all those laggers couldn't play? You'd have no one to trash talk about and to play against or with and that is very boring.

As for low connections owners, ffs, let them play. It's like saying, I have way more money than you, go to hell you stupid "lower being". All of you should be hang for all of that trash talk.
I use a cable but when I had some problems with it, i used my 28k modem connection and it was way too laggy for me. That lag have good side and bad side. You guys only sees when players do good with lag, but.. WHAT HAPPENS WHEN THEY DO BAD WITH THAT LAG?
No one notices and you just remeber them as "good" laggots.

TWL is supposed to be the best and most competitive part of TW. If you aren't able to get a decent ping/lag, then no, you shouldn't be able to play. Lagging people affect the game in a negative way. It doesn't matter if they do good or bad with the lag; when someone is jerking all over the screen and flashing, they are fucking the game up and should not be playing.

Stabwound - You're one of the laggy fucks that just keeps on eating them spider bullets in base. Gotta say, you're one hell of a fat wall.

Huh? I usually have about 50ms and no one has ever complained about my lag. It's more probable that it you are the one that is lagging.

Do not make it any lower than 300, 350 would actually be better. Nobody with a 56k would be able to play. A person with 56k most likely doesn't have a choice. I know I don't when I am at home. I can not get cable or dsl, it is not provided, and no I do not live in the middle of nowhere. My ping at home is around 180ms, in base games about double that. If it were set to 200 I would be in spec every other 15 seconds.

I have to disagree with you. People with 56k not being able to play really isnt' my problem. I want the game to be what it's supposed to be. bullets need to appear where they belong and bombs need to be seen.

Lag goes both ways. If you have actually lagged (300ms and above), you would understand me better.
Even now people say I lag and my ping is around 60ms. To me that is a great ping. I rather play with 60ms then 300ms meaning lagging is just as unfun for the person as it is for everyone else.

You are my hero. People complain to me about me lagging when I lagout including my squad. How you think it feels to me when I lagout? Its not like I enjoy or can control it.

Laggers should not be able to play TWL ... simple as that. If you have a 56k and can still play under the strict lag limits then by all means play. If you cannot, then be satisfied in playing in pub or even TWD. Like everyone has been saying, TWL is for squads who want to play competitive games. Excessive lag (usually from 56kers) does not allow these TWL games to be competitive and fair. To me it is a strightforwards thing. If you cannot play TWL on your connection at home (56k or any other conn) then try to go to a friend's house or maybe even the library if you're so gunho about playing TWL.

As for 56k having a 'right' to play TWL. You don't have a right. In the same way, a laggy cable user doesn't have the 'right' to play TWL. It's a privalege with certain obligations and rules associated with it.

Of course I would, but I wouldn't get my way just because I argued and whined. If the ops do the lag settings right, I can think of about 5-6 people that shouldn't be able to play in TWL. I'm sorry to say it but you are one of the people that shouldn't be able to play in TWL games...

I'm sorry to say it but you are one of the people that shouldn't be able to play in TWL games...

It depends on the day. Usually I hover around 120ms and 0.1, 0.1 so there is nothing extreme about that. However I do have a tendency to spike but that only results in lagout for myself. So as you can see normally I am under the lag limits required for twl but if I am lagging I will have myself subbed mainly because I cant play well at all when Im lagging so there are no worries there.
