Push, can you please explain the reasoning behind this rule? And as to why it was changed from the captains being incharge. I forsee a lot of substitutions mishaps by the referees. For example - the capt messaged the ref but they were to busy with something else to add it in on a crutial moment.
Instead I suggest let the captians do it or the captian for that game. This way any faults while substituting (very contraversial issue) will be the responsibility of the captain of the respective squads instead of putting more pressure on the match officials. Secondly, have the sub lag timer on as it is in TWD, you might want to discuss the length of it though. It is currently 1 sec I believe - maybe, 3 secs is more appropriate?
Secondly, is there anyway to stop people from speccing (I know it will be quite hard to find a solution) to avoid deaths in ld and lj? For a non lagging player that is 3 free lives - although its given that they have to have full energy. But these days, that seems to be common.
Thirdly, the rule really doesn't enforce subbing a player that isn't lagging being subbed. So that constraint seems moot. For example, a player that is doing bad can be instructed to quit the game by the squad captain and then claimed to have lagged out. You cant really differentiate between legidimate lagouts or other causes. If you were going to use lag limits, think of the times when a person leaves suddendly for unexpected reasons. Therefore, I dont think having the rule to not allow bad players to be substituded cannot be enforced. It really doesn't need to be either. Subbing can be a valid tatic of a squad and also represents the depth of the squad. It also shows the overall skill level of the captains and details on the finer points of what makes a squad truely great.
