If there isn't going to be a 4 spider limit, then we should be able to have a few shipchanges. Basically everyone is going to play anything besides 5 spiders if they know that they can't change it if they go with 4 and it doesn't work.

Rules Revision: 05/04/04

In order to cut down on wasted time due to misuse of time extenstions for submitting a line-up, we've altered the way the extension works. Rules 9.02 and 10.02 were changed to reflect the new policy.

You should be able to sub someone who's doing bad. This sub rule would probably force teams to use their starting lineups more often, giving other players less chance to play. Now it would be more risky to let your inactive/rusty or beginner players play considering you won't be able to sub them if they don't play well enough.

8.14 If a player lags out when in a very deadly situation (about to run into a situation that looks to have a small chance of staying alive), then the host ref may assign the player a death. The league coordinators will review the incident and determine if the disconnect was intentional. If it was determined to be intentional further punishment may come to the player.

i agree there should be someway to stop those who spec ->about to run into a situation that looks to have a small chance of staying alive) uses that but if referee can say it if it was illegal or not it would sucks referees ever doon good work like janson said or whoever it was that there should be 1 death punishment always if lagout!

Stab - i agree, ppl are just gonna start with 5 spids and be like last season, u cant risk it especialy in a game vs a godo squad. Although the conference shriek is in is trying to get an honorable word saying they'll play 4 spid + 1 ship. I doubt every squad will do it, not to mention when u do cross conference games.

Also u guys talking about Danyaldenyo know nothing. That guy use to lagout like 100 times a game. Even in TWD games he use to lagout like 100 times. Especialy in TWLB games. Dont go rapping about how he never lagged out, bc he did. I think what thier main arguement about 2d is that he cant be specd by anyone cept dock> i believe while he's on his staff name. 2d and Danyal are 2 totaly 110% different situations. Dont ever compair them again unless u had to deal with danyal lagging out every 2 minutes in a bd/lb game. 2d mite of lagged out a few times here and there during the season, but for as laggy as he was he should of lagged out every 2 minutes just liek Danyal did.

Section 4 - As of current, matches will only be replayed. This could change in the future depending on the capacity of the bot to record the state of the game at the point of the interruption. Squads are no longer required to keep the same lineup, however the same number of ships must be retained.

5.07 & 5.08 - A soft roster lock and a hard roster lock will be implemented in order to minimize squadhopping while at the same time making it so that squads are more likely to stay together in the event that they lose some of their members.

Can you elaborate on these 2 rules please?

Section 4: Last season we used a system that recorded the game state every few seconds, and in the event of a game failure or stoppage we could restart the game from the exact point it left off. There were a lot of ongoing problems with this system, so it was decided to scrap it entirely until we could create one that would function properly within our parameters. Currently, if a game is ended prematurely for any reason, the game is restarted in it's entirety. The only stipulation being that in TWLB/D/J matches each squad is only allowed to use the same number of ships that they started their original game with. For instance, Team 1 started the game with 5 players and Team 2 with 4, Team 2 will not be able to add a 5th player for the replay. They must go with the same amount of players they started with.

Roster Locking: The roster lock itself is pretty simple, let me break it down for ya.

Week 4 roster lock is called a 'soft lock'. At the start of this week, players who are currently registered with a participating TWL squad can leave their squad but will not be allowed to join another TWL squad's active roster. Say I were to leave Pallies after week 4, I would not be allowed to play in TWL matches for any TWL squad, only play in TWD. Players not registered with a TWL squad may join and play in TWL matches up until week 6.

Week 6 roster lock is called a 'hard lock'. This is where we lock down the rosters completely so that no new players who join a TWL squad after this time are able to play in TWL.

hmm okay :-/ i'm not a really big fan of the hard lock and soft lock system.... just seems like there could be a better way but i cant really offer an alternative solution so whatever... thanks for clarifying though push

also, when you say 'Soft Lock is in Week 4' ... does this mean after the week 4 games are played or before? ... not that it really matters too much, i'm just curious.

It would be as of the start of the week 4 games. So at 13:00 EST on the first day of TWL Season 7 week 4, the soft lock takes effect. This applies to the hard lock as well.

HAHHAHAAHAHAH..... HAHAHAHA, alright hypocrit. And don't give me the lame excuse that since your starting jav (Tobe) wasn't there you went to 5 spiders, because believe it or not, if Lothlas wasn't there, we'd still play another in jav or perhaps a wb or someone in the lanc.

I guess it just goes to show you that these types of agreements don't work and that we can't really trust anybody. The fun is over now, 5 spiders for life.

1st off paul the "agreement" i thought that our conference came up with was broke when diso ran 5 spiders week 1 vs us and had a good jav. Also i dont think it really matters, ur jav (loth) did better then our 5th spider did anyway. He has more of an impact in the begining of the game. He choked a little at the end but overall he has a brilliant performance.

2ndly about us playing the 5 spiders this week, it wsant my call. Im guessing part of it was tobe not being there but im sure cape could of did probably as good since he does better then tobe alot of the times. Or nimrook who was there and use to be our starting jav. Im not sure why we didnt use a jav as i said its not my call.

3rdly Desp, as i stated above, it isnt me who needs to be trusted. I was told we will use a jav. IM guessing we dont unless tobe is there. I dont make the lineups, a2m does.

9.04 Each squad will be allowed to have two (2) substitutes for each game. Substitutes must be registered and eligible members of that Squad. A substitute may only be put in the game as a replacement for a player who has exceeded the maximum lag out allotment, or as a replacement for a player whose lag prohibits them from playing. The substitute will be placed in the game with the amount of lives left for the slot that they substituted. No substitute may replace a player who was removed for violating allotments or other league rules. Substitutions can only be done by the attending referee, Squad Captains or assistant captains must message the referee with the substitution request.

What if someone is like 0-5, can we sub him then, or is it strictly for lagouts?

ya thats kinda stupid rule because i think subs should be for bad players too well i mean players who suck. cuz ofcourse if rules is agaisnt it captain can only say that he fake all lagouts :P just spec like 3 times :P
