Cramming ruined basing. Theres nothing else to say.
Basing went form fun and hard, to just hard. Is the cram the most logical and best defensive position, you better believe it. It took basing to a whole new level. If an old basing squad came in now they would be destroyed. Did it take all the fun out of basing? You betcha. The only TWO TIME TWLJ All-Star and TWLB All-Star who never played a game.

With my first post, I'd just like to let you know, that was from my experience BEFORE and DURING season 5. Yes I'm new compared to most people posting here, but I don't feel I'm new to the point where I have absolutely no idea what I'm talking about. I just felt that it felt second nature to me as a spider to break from the line, and to push when a shark would push and plop myself in the "cram area" for about 2-4 easy kills, even though I KNEW it was a suicide mission.... I was VERY new to the basing scene right before season 5 started, and like Gophar said, it was an easy way to snag MVPS
I may be new to most people, but from what I've seen in the last 2 1/2 years in the basing scene, I've liked where basing has headed. I know most people don't, and I think it's really all opinion. There has been a CHANGE in skill style, and most people have liked adapting to it, but some haven't, and that's okay too, you don't have to like it, but don't bring down the majority of the basers today because of how things "used to be." This reminds me of the civil rights movement for some reason. Next we'll see lynchings of the newer basers by the likes of Mitch and Adman.

He was proving a point to Stab, saying that the experiment took place so that BOTH terrs could fire their burst up/down the cram. I believe Stab thought it took place so that the defending terr couldn't fire down.

ow, i don't hate the new people of basing i just commented upon where you are.
and replying to Stabwounds:
2. No one is going to line if they can just as easily cram. Less effort, and a lot more effective. A majority of the base players these days have never done anything but cram anyways, and even if you had an allstar 8 lineup from the lining days, they wouldn't beat an allstar 8 from cramming days.
They are mostly the same people. There once was a man from Nantucket.
