I used to be above average at a TWL level. I'll openly admit I'm not anymore. Then again, TWL isn't anywhere near the same as it used to be. Competition as a whole has increased, and the overall skill level of the zone has increased along with it. There aren't as many stand out players as their used to be because of this. It's more about the team as a whole rather than individual stars.

On top of that, I can't say that I particularly care to be at the top of my game, which does require practice no matter what anyone will tell you, after all these years. I have my good times talking about pretty pointless shit on this or that chat, and once in awhile, I try to blow up as many spaceships as I can.

Everyone always tosses out that line without quantifying it. Well sure it's just a game, but it's a game in which people interact, and those interactions are real, not a game. The people are real, not make-believe. Basically, what I'm saying is that reminding me it's a 2d spaceship game is about as worthwhile as telling me the sky is blue. It's one of those "No shit, sherlock." kind of things.
