If a squad has 35 people and the limit is 30, more often than not it will just be inactive people that are cut.

Well yes thast true rand bc thats how i ran cripples, but if u made it so only 30 ppl (thats just a # im using) could be on the roster (twd) and not 31 or more then you would have to remove the inactives and watch how u recruit. I look @ some squads and as soon as they see a person get a half decent baseelim rank they recruit them, or if they see a person playing in base for a week strait they recruit them. I dont want to tell ppl how to run there squad bc thats none ofmy buizness and i dont really care, but if u made a limit on TWD then squads would have to be more cautious about recruiting just anyone plus it would let some more talent be spread around.

I mean when WR dissolved a-s and so on all (just example squads) Picked up the best basers in like 2 days. Now why would a squad like a-s who won TWLB last seaosn need more top basers? Then u look at a-s's roster and they got 40 ppl on them. WHy would any 1 league squad need that many ppl? Let the skill be spread instead of hogging it all on a few squads.

Well it isn't like RB has the cream of the top, which is why we need a lot in order to have enuf to bd often to practice and get better. 40 seems like a good number for RB. I agree top squads are hogging top players, but roster limits would hurt other squads that need or want that many people for other reasons.

Maybe make a 'hard lock' 3 months before twlb, so that top players spread out in order to be in starting line. But that would be just silly now wouldn't it?

Well i think if there was a roster limit then all the top squads wouldnt have an opertunity to snatch up all those players. Just think if a-s would have to take 10 ppl off there roster. How could they do it? Its bound a few would stay like Jacklyn who wouldnt care about TWD, but there are a few who are decent pilots who would leave/be axed. You wouldnt see an imediate change bc rosters are there now, but in a few weeks when some ppl start switchin up and stuff or another squad dies, or some up and coming talent apears then the top squads will think 2 times b4 wasting a spot on them. If they are pure basers im sure a few would trickle down to the likes of RB and so on. There are only so many players in TW, and there are even less GOOD players in TW. If udont start limiting some of the roster sizes u'll never have more then a few power squads.

i dont know about whichever anonymous people you're talking about, but for some people joining squads isn't all about leagues...

and in basing, every squad has like 30 people or more... who the fuck cares if the defending champions picked up a few more... people come and go on squads, and if the people in charge of a-s felt they could improve their top line, good for them. if the people who dont get playing time as a result want to leave, that's their choice too. who are you to say that a squad should stop recruiting better players once they reach x number of players on their roster.

that kid got a point tho, some ppl left a-s, but not as much as they joined, lol. bah, i think come twl a couples of ppl will leave a-s for sure since they kinda have a good starting lineup already, i mean, who could steal spider spots of holydude, spybreak! and nosey?

This is an absolute and utter fallacy.

Squads do NOT have to be big to be good. Because of that simple fact, roster limits will never work unless they were at 8 or so, because you really DON'T need that many people to do well in TWL.

Case in point is Elusive in seasons 5 and 6. We had around 18 people on roster, 4 of them were basically not around permanently in TW in both seasons. Yet we were in 2 TWL finals (one victory), and the TWLB semis in season 6.

Look at Syndicate. A roster of about 22 (?) players. A bunch of inactive players were on Syndicate in fact and never did anything in TW. Yet we still won two leagues and got to TWLB playoffs.

Big squads don't equal success. That's why roster locks don't really work, and yes I know I added the rule to TWL but now I realize it doesn't help.

Sorry what I meant is that when you're running a squad, it's perfectly reasonable and easy to reject a good player from joining because you have enough starters. Good captains don't need to have 30 good players to win... Just ask Foreign we kept rejecting him
