Something I've noticed is that a lot of people who are inactive and on some of the betters squads accuse other squads of playing ###### squads all the time.

MAYBE if your squad was active they wouldn't have to play ###### squads all the time.

Those of you who are inactive and don't contribute to TWD have no place to accuse otgher squads of getting into TWL for playing ###### squads.


Be active, and give them a good ####### opponent to go against.

it's a different season and new squads emerge. players leave the old playoff team...retire or different squad...they pick up new players...are the players as good as the ones they lost? in most cases probably not thus they should have to requalify

Trench Wars Leagues does not equal professional sport leagues. In professional sports the teams are held stable because they want to make money and lose profits of course. There's nothing keeping a TW squad from dissolving, so as some people have stated, its an incentive to have squads stay around longer, like long lasting squads such as Sk8, Paladen, Pallies, etc.

and Cig smoke, what trend are you talking about? how many squads auto-qualified last season and then played poorly? Disoblige didn't do as well as the previous season, pallies did better than the previous season. You probably need more data to define a trend. but both teams did a fine job of competing.

Sure maybe "trend" wasnt the best word to put there, but i dont think diso really performed that well. They shouldnt of been in TWLB playoffs, they werent really a contender for the TWLD or TWLJ title either. Pallies, yes they were, but they also werent that inactive b4 last season. This season they are so we'll see how they do. I still think that if a squad is "auto-qualified" from the season b4 they shoudl have sort of rules/limits that they have to stay so active in the off-season. I mean diso atleast jds alot still. Pallies play like 3 games a week that i see, and -f- didnt play 1 game for about 3 months b4 now. They mite do well next season, but it isnt really staying "alive" from 1 season till the next.

Just the fact that so many squads eligible to get into TWL free the next season actually stick around to do so, is pretty cool. Just skimming the site these squads all stayed together since the last season and get into a TWL division free:

Pallies, Pirates, Disoblige, Ancients(?), sk8, Mambo, Anti-Scrub, Spastic, Incuria

Most of the squads that get the invites are stable and longlasting squads. They deserve it.

This is just an innocent question, and I'm not attacking any squads in particular: Why again do squads get an automatic invite (without breaking one of the rules) if they made it to playoffs the season before? Perhaps you guys can enlighten me.

Who was next in line in twbd last season? would they have performed better than diso? I'm betting 10 to 1 against it.

Yes i think Grapevine would of did just as good if not better then diso. Plus thats not the point im trying to make. The point im trying to make is that when a squad gets auto-qualified from the season b4 they go inactive and thats what hurts the squad's performance. Diso would of been fine if they wouldnt of been so inactive in the off-season. I am trying to point out we need to have some kinds of rules saying a squad has to stay so active in the off-season even if they do get auto-qualified.

I'll concede one point, that grapevine woudl've been a good contender. However, I don't know that they would've done better than diso, I guess that's opinion and we'll never know.

But the fact is that diso made playoffs. Pallies made playoffs. Id on't know who else auto-qualified, but to my knowledge, since this rule was implemented, every single team that comes back has been competetive.

Also, diso is still alive, grapevine is dead. This system works fine.
