I actually didn't have enough interest to read Apt's Not section (only his hall of shame), but after seeing someone go into a rage over it on here, I changed my mind, and I must say Apt had a pretty witty little section; props

I don't need to reflect on it because I am not Rejected Basers f'ing terrier, I didn't plan on Kings breaking his arm and I really would prefer to spider. I'm not reflecting on a ship I played for fun.. well I play all ships for fun but some I take a bit more seriously then others.

i have been blitzed for the past week. moment of sobirety, going to get high in 5. it all involves $20, if i'm high for one whole week (ending tonight) i win $20.

If the objective is only to draw an audience, then simply post some porn or warez. So if this logic that you and Fit are prescribing, it isn’t that applicable.

What is applicable was that Fit and the league site got taken advantage of for a personal motive. Apt turned an opportunity given to him into a personal vendetta, a vendetta that included off-color remarks that the league has so clearly worked towards discouraging.

Ask yourself this….If we had everyone together in a big meeting hall, would the author be willing to stand up and read his ‘Hot or Not’ to the entire group? And if he was, what would be the reaction of the audience? I, for one, would be pissed off if the speaker wanted to flame my skills but no way that I would care enough to get in his face over it. But if the speaker felt the need to get personal, then I would have no trouble jumping up and getting real personal with him. Personal attacks have no place in a critic’s piece. It completely nullifies the value of the writing since it changes the objective. Would you value a music review from the ex-wife of the lead singer? There is no value to it, but people would read it because they like to hear the soap-opera shit.

So, if you guys want to take that perspective and allow that kind of writing, change the name of the column from ‘Hot or Not’ to ‘TW Soap Opera’ or ‘TW Gossip’. I’m sure people will come running to soak up all the juicy tidbits, rumors, and other self-delusional, self-important, dribble that someone can put down in writing.

I did not judge the writer, I was giving an opinion on the one article he wrote.

People are interested in hearing about who played well and who played poorly, that is entertaining enough without launching into racist adjectives and flames about a person character.

The context of the article. If the articles are going to be posted on the league site under the guise of being a 'review', then that defines the objectivity. If they want to be inconsistent with their racist policies, so be it. If they want to have a flame-fest and allow people to use their interface for the purpose of persoanl attacks, then so be it. As I said, change page from a 'review' format to a Soap Opera format. Hell, add a 'Dear Abby' column for all I care, but simply call it what it is.

And I have no problem with the author saying, "Ekko ran his mouth about eliteness and then royally sucked in this week's game." It crosses the line when the review changes to a personal attack. In most countires, this is a legal issue and is considered 'slander'. So if nothing else, people should consider this and accept that IRL this is the way things are, or we can pretend that nothing in TW matters, it's just a game, nobody cares, we don't need to act like mature, responsible humans.
