So what i'm saying, the 3-LEAGUE TWL winners get paid some sort amount of money. I mean, more people will come back to play for leagues, make this game more exciting like it was a while ago, and now people will look for more competition during TWL season and TWD season. So, what do you think about it?

Would be fun, but this is too small and tight knit a community for it to work in. The reason why Halo2 can do it is that there are so many good players they couldnt possibly all get on 1 team or even 4 teams. Not true in TW, if there was any worthwhile amount of money on the line all the top players would go to one squad in order to make sure they won it. The top tier of skill in this league is only about 10 players deep (at least in LD), and the next tier is probably about another 20. They could all fit on one squad, or two at the most, and trust me if money were involved it would happen.

As for the people actually posting viable ideas about money... well IMO no one is ever going to follow through with a "prize" idea, and if a "staff bank" is ever created (Yeah RIGHT, tehe :P) there's no way to hold anyone accountable for sending money via paypal or whatever.

we pay to play, then the winner gets the money. it wont happen cause 90% of twl lives with their parents and dont have a CC.

would be cool to do like a cheap 8 squads tournament for each league, max roster of like 15 for each. $5 entry fee.

then if each team is full , each player of the winning team gets 40 bucks. THATS THIRTY FIVE MORE DOLLARS THAN YOU PREVIOUSLY HAD.

That's right, you heard me. Set up a one-time credit card payment of $15 to play in TWL. With all the whining about people using CE and evading bans, etc., the only thing I can think of that would ultimately cut banned cheaters out of TW is to force everyone to pay $15 to play.

Think about it. You pay $15. All your names are assigned to that account by IP. You don't cheat, you have nothing to worry about AND you have the satisfaction of contributing to the game you just so happen to be addicted to (until now, for free).

Now, assume you cheat and get banned. Well, your account is banned. You can't change your IP or format your hdd and play with the same account, so you have to spend another $15 to get into TWL. For persistent evaders, this would quickly be crippling to any nerd's budget.

Not only would the cheaters spend more money supporting TW (ironic eh?), but the general level of competitiveness would rise significantly, since those who don't care so much wouldn't pay.

note: $15 is just some arbitrary amount. The best amount is something that won't set you back much but is enough that you wouldn't want to pay it 2-3 times just to play TWL.

Well I had this idea in mind but im not going to make a thread about it because "FOREIGN" got my idea, and I dont think people want another related forum. So, here it goes, how about since Trench Wars has been here for a while, and more than 1000 people play Trench Wars, why not find a sponsor? Other major online games like "Halo 2" have worldwilde tournaments which are worth money, and what I mean is, why not the TWL winners get paid some money? I mean, I'm sure more people will come back to TW since now people will take this more serious and we will have a more competitive season, makes it better and more challenging now. No. Why do we need to take a game that is for fun and try to get people to compete in it for money. The game is competitive as is, and if we put money up for grabs it's only going to make more cheaters imo. It's sort of a nice idea in theory, like foreigns, but when you think about the amount of work involved and what's really going to come of it... Foreigns idea is a little more doable, and I think you might have said this but just to clear it up, someone had replied saying that they would pay $15/TWL season whereas I think Foreigns idea was a one time fee of $15, unless of course you need to signup under another name/IP for TWL, then it would be another $15...
The only reason why I'm slightly liking Foreigns idea is because of the fact that bot coders put so much time and energy into developing bots for this game, not just for TWL either. The real question would be, how to properly compensate them.

Well I know that in my case I wouldn't play but...i'm banned for a year anyways. There isn't enough people as it is compared to some other online games so I doubt charging for this one would inspire more people to play. But that's just me, good luck with the spaceships guys.
