Isnt 10-0 and 7-3 the same as 100-0 70-30? You still win the same amount (%) and lose the same amount (%)? heh.Originally posted by AquatiqBesides, if you've got the 1st seed squad having a 10-0 record and the 8th seed squad having a 7-3 record... that really isn't enough to say that if they play, it'll be a massacre. If it was 100-0 vs. 70-30... that'd be a different story.
I like the 1v8 2v7 3v6 idea for playoffs...(Y)the price is right, bitch.

I don't like this rule at all. How are individual squads supposed to know who the TWL-Op is? Even the staff doesn't know at times who the current TWL-Op online is.Originally posted by Kim6.02 If your squad is planning to send an appeal for the game you just played, you must message a TWL-OP within minutes (preferably immediately) in-game that you are planning to do so. This appeal must be made in 1 hour after the end of your last game on the same day. No appeals will be accepted after this time.
Also make the deadline to send in appeals like 6pm EST Sunday. Why make it within 1 hour of last game? Just give it a good time, so staff can just check at 6 (once only) and be done with it, instead of checking continously.
As for playoffs I don't like that either. It seems you're punishing the teams that win the first 'round' by having them play eachother, because two of the teams that won in the first round may concievably lose out to two of the 'losers' from round 1 because those losers got to play squads that were ranked #8 and barely made it into playoffs, while they had to play the #1 squad and lost.Epinephrine's History of Trench Wars:

mmmm izor to many problems with ranking it by twd... why dont we just have an off season tournament to determine ranking for league? that would be a lot of fun i think... we had a few tournaments b4 last league why not make some sort of tournament or round robin maybe a month or 2 b4 league to determine placing?

We are still going to be using TWD pt system to determine pre-playoff ranking. But we're going to put in cool things such as this: http://www.trenchwars.org/forums/showthread.php?t=26643 for warbirds, and possibly other events for javs and basing that occur during the weekend where squads can gain points.♪♫♪♫♪♫♪♫♪♫♪♫

so basically, you're looking for a point system based on a few things to determine the seeding? TWD being the most important, with some additions from big hosted events like the TWD DM, and perhaps stuff like the tournies that happened before this season? sounds pretty nice actually, as long as theres staff that can keep up with that. Seeing as how they can never manage to take my help calls, im not so sure.. :PI'm just a middle-aged, middle-eastern camel herdin' man

I agree with Epi about these. Also regarding the rule 6.02. I bet there will be a time when no TWL-Op is online at that time and thus your appeal will be invalid (or something equally stupid) as you did not message a TWL-Op. The 1-hour deadline might work.Originally posted by Kim6.02 If your squad is planning to send an appeal for the game you just played, you must message a TWL-OP within minutes (preferably immediately) in-game that you are planning to do so. This appeal must be made in 1 hour after the end of your last game on the same day. No appeals will be accepted after this time.
6.04 All appeals will be looked at promptly at the deadline set by rule 6.02. A decision on the appeal will be made within 30 minutes to an hour from then. This decision will be announced in-game, on the TWL website, and on the forums. However, if the appeal requires us to check if a player is evading ban, we will announce that we may need additional time to gather the information necessary from our BanG-OP. If a player sends in an appeal that is disregarded for at least 48 hours (meaning no communication between the squad that is appealing and the TWL Staff), the appeal will go to the favor of the squad that is appealing. Outrageous appeals due to this last bit of the this particular rule will result in the suspension of the squad’s ability to send in appeals.
6.04 looks good. We might finally get some answers to our appeals. Although I suspect that nothing will be done.

I agree that you should use the 16teams on TWD to determine who makes TWL, but have a tournament or something to determine #1-#16 if this wouldnt take more than 2 weeks because for all we know a horrible squad could just be playing another horrible squad to just get into first and keep milking for points.the price is right, bitch.

Please do not put a 1 hour deadline for deciding. Give yourself a day or two at least. Sometimes it takes a while to track down the proper people (for instance the host of the game may already have left because of real life commitments even if you asked them to hang around) and get all the facts. If you rush yourself you are in danger of making a bad decision. Additionally if you wait more than 1 hour you may find appeals to appeals happening, in which case everything gets screwed up.Originally posted by Kim6.04 All appeals will be looked at promptly at the deadline set by rule 6.02.
