i've asked zazu before if he was cheating. he told me no. there's not much i can do about it besides not play him. he won't be playing next week in our game vs ash. will that make anyone happy? i doubt it.

Actually, that's all i'm asking for you to do. I don't care if he's cheating unless he gets caught, I just don't think (and I'm obviously not alone) he's fit to play in leagues. You'd gain the respect of most just by not putting him in TWL matches. Banning him or removing him from your squad, and I back you up on this, is up to Rudy, but you still have a responsibility as a captain and leader in the zone to set a precedent, and you can do that simply by not letting him play.

Ignoring everything else, I must also say that I've never in my 9 years or so of TW seen anybody lag like Zazu.

Zazu, from the squad Sake, has now been banned from TWL until further notices. This is due to the sheer amount of unbelievable eats from him during his TWL matches. His lag and his eats do not add up.

For future reference, anyone with a mass amount of eats visually will be asked to be spec'd during match even if his/her lag is perfectly fine. And if the situation does not get better for that player, he/she will be banned from TWL as well until he/she can improve the 'eating' situation.

This is exactly NOT the attitude needed for TWL. Just because Dice won doesn't mean what happened is ok. Regardless of who wins it should be the most reasonably attainable level playing field for all parties. I won't go any further into explaining why that logic is so flawed.

Zazu's lag is entirely different from that of mega newbie or elven's, when you hit them dead on in the middle they die, when you hit on the corner of the ship they don't, it's because of their high latency and location. When you hit someone who doesn't appear to be spiking in the middle of the ship and they don't die, it's much much different. Whether he's cheating or not, we won't know and quite frankly we shouldn't just be looking at whether he's cheating or not, but whether he's gaining some outrageous advantage by being able to tank dead on shots or not. What do you think? Look around, how many people have an entire thread dedicated to their ridiculous lag this season. How many complaints need to be filed before you'll do something.

I agree that I haven’t seen anyone else lag like Zazu, but I don’t know anyone else who is located in Belgium with his connection either. However, I wouldn’t find it that annoying to play against him. At least, I can predict his shots and movements. Lomoro and his kind on the other hand are much worse to play against, because they are totally unpredictable and their shots can appear inches from their ships and reach incredible speeds. So, in my opinion, laggers like Lomoro have the bigger advantage.
If it’s decided that Zazu shouldn’t be allowed to play, why should Lomoro and his kind be allowed? From what I know it hasn’t been proven that Zazu cheats and Lomoro and his kind may just as well be cheating even though it might be more unlikely.

as far as i know, zazu hasn't even been warned for anything. it seems a little ridiculous to never play a guy because he eats shots or something. when other captains in twl take the same stance with their laggy players, i'll hop on board.
