if your squad didn't crumble like a cookie you could have made twlj. yet the fact that what, 2-3 squads dropped out and you still weren't a replacement i think shows how badly you wanted to join
Yeah pascone, because after staff took a dump on us we really felt motivated to play in twlj. What point did fistula have to put themselves in position on the ladder to join twlj if someone dropped out? Think hard here pascone, try and concentrate, because we had already done that before the ladder lock for twl and you still didn't give us the invite we earned. Obviously, the ladder didn't mean anything when it came to fistula joining twlj.
The better question is, did you check to make sure that the replacement squads fit all of your hefty "dedication" criteria that you used to kick fistula out of their spot? Or did they simply put themselves in the right spot on the ladder, like fistula originally did?
No matter how you want to serve this up, staff did a piece o crap job on this one and fistula was the squad that paid the price for it. It seems fitting that multiple squads have already dropped out of that league.
TWLJ Season 5 Champion TWLJ Season 9 Champion - Syndicate TWLD Season 10 Champion - Syndicate
Exalt, I do not entirely disagree with you, just for a bit... But I do think you're not the one to complain about this.
You have never been a top player, and still aren't a top player now... you might think you are, but no one (besides ass kissing friends) will just believe you on your word until you prove it. And proving it means you pull of good games in TWL(whatever one you play)...
Unless you show us that TWL really is a newbieland as of now, since even "you" can dominate it..., then you might have a valid point.
I do believe however that the "top" squads aren't as dominant as they used to be. But that doesn't necessarily have to mean they are worse.
Eventhough I do think the Top is somewhat below the top squads we used to have (It is really hard to say, because you cannot let a team of the past play a current team, since none of those older players will be practiced and precisely as good as they used to be...) I am not 100% certain of it....
I also think the bottom squads are somewhat better then the bottom squads we used to have... and again I am not 100% certain of it...
I haven't played that much of TWL at all tbh... This mainly because the weekends are for me the days I don't have a lot of time to chillax behind my comp becus I have other things to attend to..
Anyways, it is really hard to get younger folk to play this game because it looks really bad compared to all these new games coming out. Younger folk is the kind of guys/girls that thrive to be the best and that make for the best competition... Since we don't have as much young guys as we used to, it is logically that the competition will drop over time... This has nothing to do with the wrong staff persons or twl-ops, it's just a matter of time... I am not sure, but I cannot think of ONE game, Just ONE... that has this big of a percentage of ppl playing in comparison with when the game was at it's peak...
Like we used to have 700 ppl on a weekend at our peak in tw... now we have like 400 I guess... removing bots etc... you still have 300 or sumthing... so 300/700 = 3/7.... so we basicly still have 3/7th of the population in comparison we had when this game was at is peak...
Can you name one game which was in it's peak like 2002 or sumthing that still attracts that much of players Percentage wise? I doubt it...
It's earlier good staffing and good moderating and good development that made this game last so long and stay this attractive to certain players...
Ok, now I need my sleep, so I'm closing my laptop and I am going to bed, Night

Thanks tips. Say you come to Canada after growing up in your home country and live here for a few years. Would you consider yourself a Canadian or your home nationality? Stupid idiot. Go try to get staff some more.

to prove us wrong maybe? but instead, you just folded when something didn't go your way. pretty much what i thought would happen. the decision wasn't even based on that, but it happened anyway.

[Aug 23 03:20] money: LOL NOT QUITE VIO BUT 5:siaxis> you try thta ill play possom then reverse roundhouse kick your life
The reason why this TWL sucks is because there is no Demonfaze, Sika, or Kthx. Demonfaze got bored and I think quit. Sika probally couldn't manipulate his lag anymore and decided enough was enough. Kthx got tired of the politics.
What this season is missing most is Quicksand.....
You need a Vilian in a game like this, and that is what QS was.
Actually, you unknowingly hit the nail on the head of what the REAL problem in this game is. The fact that Quicksand is even considered a legitimate contender for 'villain' is laughable considering they never really won anything of importance.
For a real villian, we must go back to the classics such as Light season 5 and Rampage season 6. These were squads that united the entire league in hating them, but since they were actually damn good squads, it made it so much more fun.
Actually the real, real problem is that for most of the best players, everything has been done already. In a world where god forbid Pjotter has won 3 championships, there really isn't anything left to prove. The good players are still around (in real life maybe they would have 'gotten old' thus leaving more room for new people) and they don't have that drive anymore. This game is more of a habit now, than real competition.
You could already see it happening in seasons 9 and 10, but at least then there was still some drama and some fun. Now it's just getting old.
But that doesn't necessarily mean the game will die. Unless the server dies, TW can look forward to another few years where people will just come on to play on weekends, or chat on weekdays. They will play their one game a week, and the same 10 people will win every year in each league. In short, TW will become Pro League SVS.
LOL it wasn't an insult, I've known static since 1999. Thing is people keep thinking he's washed up or no good or just invisible, but he really is one of the most consistently good players in the history of the zone. He's just never been the best player at any particular time, but top 5.
For a real villian, we must go back to the classics such as Light season 5 and Rampage season 6. These were squads that united the entire league in hating them, but since they were actually damn good squads, it made it so much more fun.
