I could be wrong..hence I'm trying to clarify it for myself
Yeah I was one of the people who had a hand into getting P_L into power. First of all, I started a 2 month campaign to get Guano into staff. I had this macro 'please let cpt guano into staff, brought to you by the committee to let cpt guano into staff' (yeah I know it's lame but I was young and stupid:P). I met guano randomly one night in spec chat and thought he was just what staff needed, I don't even know if he actually WANTED staff that badly, I just sorta pushed it.

When I got Guano into staff, I quickly had him helping me out in TWL, and after THE PUSHER stopped playing in round 5 or so, Guano's responsibilities grew exponentially. He eventually couldn't handle the workload (he was mostly helping with programming stuff, but then strayed over to making decisions too as I was grooming him to be my successor) and asked if his friend Pure_Luck who wasn't even on staff then (I think), could help him out with stuff. P_L seemed like a cool guy, so I said sure. Eventually p_l was hired as well to make his involvement 'legit', and when I quit being TWL op, I handed over power to Guano AND P_L.

The point is anyone that played for Shriek or Dice and feels loyalty to them is most likely going to say their squad was the best LJ squad ever, and anyone that played for Syndicate or Elusive and feels loyalty to them is most likely going to say their squad was the best LJ squad ever. You're never going to change any of those people's opinions no matter what you say.

One thing though a2m is Shriek never beat Syndicate in regular season in season 7, you guys beat us in PRE-SEASON. We never even played you guys during the season. We finished regular season 9-1 with our one loss being to Pallies. You might be thinking of beating Elusive in regular season in season 6 and dissolving shortly after you lost to Disoblige late in that season.

Regardless though beating a team in regular season doesn't mean you're going to beat them in the playoffs, this is proven over and over again almost every season i've played in. In season 7 infact Pallies beat Syndicate badly to give us our first loss in regular season 50-38, but Syndicate ended up beating them even worse when they met again in the LJ finals in 2 straight games. The season before that in season 6 with Elusive, Elusive beat Disoblige in regular season really badly 50-30 and ended up losing to them in the finals. So beating a team in regular season is not a strong basis for why you're going to win the league.

Anyway Shriek will continue to hold a pre-season victory over Syndicate's head as their claim to be the best LJ squad ever, and Syndicate will continue to hold multiple LJ titles over theirs.

By the way da1, it wasn't me who caught that 3fer damnit! I was one of the people killed in it but I believe it was 2d who caught it and Mr. Spam was the other person killed in it.
No one can ever objectively state who the best/better squad was. I doubt if I even could say if either of those was the best LJ squad ever. Sure those 2 squads were probably the most dominant squads out there ever season wise... But that was mainly because the field of other squads was just way more down to the past few seasons. I really have no idea wether nowadays the overall skill of the supposedly better squads has dropped or that just the squads under them have gotten significantly better...

I do feel a lot of times like I am worse then I used to be... but this could also be because other people have gotten better.

On a side note elusive/syndicate won their title in respectively season 6 and season 7 won their TWLJ title when their supposedly hardest competition dropped out for whatever reason... Thunder on the other hand won theirs with no significantly good squad dropping out. I guess that means Thunder is the best LJ squad ever...

Fact is though that there has never been a squad in LJ that steamrolled every opponent as hard as Shriek in season 6 did till the moment they dropped out. Don't think there was a squad that got 40 kills even against us...( Yes we/they lost to disoblige the last match before we dropped out but that had the same reason why we dropped out, which is that there weren't enough active players left from our starters and we could hardly show a decent 5.)

Elusive won in season 5 against Siege, it was Disoblige who won in season 6 against Elusive (this was the season Shriek disbanded). Syndicate formed in season 7 and won that season against pallies (this was the season Shriek got kicked out of the league). Syndicate disbanded after season 7 and Dice was formed and they ended up winning season 8 against sk8. Syndicate reformed for season 9 and won that season against -Final- which no competitive TWLJ squad dropped out of that season, we had to go through sk8 in quarters, Dice in the semi's and -final- in the finals.

But even with Shriek be kicked out of season 7, I still feel that season was the most competitive Jav season (that I played in) because there was Syndicate/Shriek/-Final-/Pallies (the pallies team that had banzi/blood/scuzzy/lethe/hellzno)/and Disoblige which had almost the same exact line that they used to win season 6.

Anyway there has been a lot of great jav teams and players over the seasons, Thunder seems to have been doing really well lately - Ease is definitely an amazing jav from when I use to play with and against him. Also no mention has gone out to the Siege season 5 line which I felt was one of the most stacked lines ever in LJ which had banzi (one of the best javs ever)/blood/bhang/myth/badboyz/path of daggers, and they also went undefeated all regular season without any trouble until they folded in the finals (partly due to banzi not even showing up to the finals) Which was also the season of who I think was the best jav ever in his prime - Psymorph. Anyway once I start typing I feel like i can't stop!

Yo epi, me and fbz were playing WoW ever since I stopped playing SS. We both recently stopped playing about 2-3 months ago. Right now i'm not playing any games. Pretty much just spending my time working and going out, how have you been?

Yeah, Siege season 5 was definitely mega stacked. I think they were completely undefeated in TWLJ until the finals vs us, and I think they won every game they played in by large margins as well. Psymorph has to get a lot or credit for basically taking a team where ME AND YUNGSTA were starters to win TWLJ by getting over 2:1 ratio every playoff game he played in that playoffs.

In a way, the ultimate winner of it all is who is best. I mean it's easy to say who is good during the season, but even Tom Brady will go 16-0 and lose the last one when it really counts. If Shriek couldn't even survive for a season without breaking up, it wasn't a good squad. So they had some good players who may have played good together, but the squad itself was no good, it couldn't even finish a season correctly two seasons in a row.

I'm doing good demon. Haven't really played SS for a very long time now... just busy with my training/work still. 1 more year to go and I'm all done!

I guess you can say we'll never know what would have happened that season if we weren't (*had not been) thrown out of the league, but there is NO doubt that we were the most dominant TWLJ squad that season prior to being thrown out.

Winning twlb with dice, think we beat -f- in the finals back then.

Mvping over Megaman89 in that final.

Just because we had bad leadership, dosen't mean we had a bad squad. We had elusive/syndicate's number, as proved by the preseason/regular season wins. The fact that we couldn't keep the squad together dosen't take away from the fact that we were absolutely dominant when we were around (even when internal fights were tearing the squad apart).

the best that I watched was disoblige vs camisade in season 6...I recall diso winning it by about 100 points or something small like that.

My favourite was beating diso 1 vs 3 in twld semi finals season 6 with melee

Hmmm, lets see.... Favorite TWL moments......

Well firstly it would have to be -KAOS- dominating as newbies and then getting squashed by Siege in a battle for first spot on TWL ladder back in the old days.

And then my most memorable moment was with Pirates when we shocked the TW world by beating up on everyone in TWLD then losing to -F- in the final (I went 9-7 in round 2 of our only round win)
                            2 time TWLD runner up.

If not a medal, cant I get a Ribbon??

I took out Burnt, and you took out Poseidon and I think 2d took out Blood. 2d died out after and made it a 2v2 with me and you vs nethervoid and ripper, and you knocked out nethervoid and I knocked out Ripper right after. I remember vihta being pissed off in spec too after he died out for letting KAM start when he wasn't playing well that game.

If you couldn't tell my favorite memory is as well beating Rampage in the semi-finals of TWLD in season 6, it pretty much blows away any titles ever won.

Shriek wasn't a bad squad, they just weren't better than syndicate. It's easy to say that you were dominant but you never proved it, oh big deal you beat syndicate (not our main line) in preseason, a lot of squads have doesn't mean they are going to win TWL. Syndicate proved to be the best jav squad.
