That's cute, but I'm not angry. And the majority didn't disagree, just a few previous TWLD squad captains you chose by silly bias to ask, as if their opinion holds more weight than non-captain players who've been playing for a while, if you're going to resort to 'votes'. I only even brought it up simply because this thread further underlines points I have made previously. When you leave everything up to 'vote' from the players, then you may as well make a bot replace you and we can all give it votes on what we think would be best. Having your position requires more than just asking 'previous twl squads captains' what they think.

You need to be able to know the situation well enough yourself to call the shots, not let 'players' run the show through votes while you turn off certain older players from even participating in your league season at all. And yes, there are quite a few old players I've spoken to other than Reaver who won't even play this season due to choice-making like that. I have nothing personal against you obviously, but it's rather apparent that you are in the dark about quite a few things in certain league areas and for certain divisions. And not just a little.

Mirror, in all honesty the only newbs that talk about basing as being boring and stale are the newbs who dont play in the league or aren't good in it. They wont realize the big changes of taking those 2 blocks will have on gameplay already. By removing those 2 blocks you have increased the number of fights in cram and forced squads into using a different craming/lining method. I think this is a big change in itself and should be the only change implemented this season, because we have been able to practice with these settings. So i think FOR THIS SEASON , we should let this be the onlychange and remove the 2 terr thing :P because squads haven't had the summer to practice it B). (DO IT BEFORE I TELL SARGER ON U AND U GET SLAPPED!)

Did you forget that I originally had it at 8? Excuse me for being open to what TWLD squad captains and the general public would like. 10 TWLD squads was decided a while ago and no one went crazy about it after. Talk about quite the overreaction--not playing because 2 more squads are allowed to play? Jeez, lighten up.

I'm still open to reasons for why 2 terrs is the end of TWL as we know it.

i do have 2 twl years of experience and how many titles have i won in basing? 2. how bout you bram? o, 1....way back in the first season of basing when everyone was like 'wtf b@sing?'

if you wanna have a clusterfuck league...make one, call it TWCF, cuz thats what 2 terrs will do. hey you can make a new map and everything!!!

TW basing is the youngest TWL league yet it has been changed the most, leave it the fuck alone, its worked fine the past 7 seasons of this...the map change was a big enough change giving squads a chance to break a well developed cram, stop bitchin at ur suckfest disoblige and actually try to get good at what we have now. how else do you think dice has won the past 2 seasons?

I doubt 2 terrs being used to much and even if they're used, I doubt it being better then a regular line-up...

TWLB is as young as TWLJ I believe.
How is removing 2, yes only 2 tiles on a map of thousands of tiles a big change? please explain... It only causes terr not to be able to sit still... that's not a big change.
In LJ they changed the map for far more then 2 tiles over the past few years, which in my opinion caused a way bigger change, because nowadays you can just run away from every difficult situation easily. And yes it's not at all hard to go 5-1 or better in the start by just straying bombs and running. cause of the way the map is now, while seasons back it was way harder. Also in my opinion they should put shrap back on jav eventhough im not used to it at all anymore, but it takes way more skills to get good at shrapped jav.

And last but not least, I think they won twlb by being able to overall lag more and eat more bullets then any other squad combined.

Why do you people care so much about the change to have an extra terr? it's not like it's that big of a change... Just because you cannot be creative and are only able to do the same routine over and over again doesn't make it a bad idea. I doubt any squad being able to use 2 terrs and win a match with it, or even dominate matches with it. And if a squad is able to adapt and able to really make it an advantage for them to have 2 terrs, All the more praise to em.

i think id have rather had a 4 spid limit instead of 2 ters, but im not gonna throw a fit. i think we may be jumping the gun a little on the additional ter since we only have about a month to think about how to use it (but not even in twbd?)


i am against making such a change right before the start of TWL without giving any chances to bd with it. thats about all.

otherwise, you'll probably just see a strategy such as starting with 2 ters, have your 2nd ter burst, then change to spider.

Why make this kind of change right before TWL?

This is a thing that could be considered for SEASON 14.

You haven't given anyone a chance to practice it with their squad. There isnt even an option to play with 2 terriers ATM. So, you going to just let ppl practice it in ?go base with random n00bs and bring more action in TWL.

See thats the problem Sirius. The old people with that kind of attitude. Not going to play a season over a small change that benefits the majority? Well fuck em then. When it was changed to 10 squads, nobody flipped out, if it was such a horrid decision I'm sure people would of put alot more pressure against the idea. It's sounds so childish to say that you're 'turned off' and therefore not playing a season due to a situation like this, and I'd rather not have those people playing anyways. The people running TW can't keep catering to old vets that play this game every once in a while, they need to think about the up and comers, and the people that are here when these people dissappear for the off-season. I just don't see why you have to hate on 2 extra LD squads so much. If you really think it's going to make things that easy - how bout a little less talk and a little more winning LD?

I honestly can't believe your still arguing that 2 terrs will be a "good creative change" when everyone in this thread so far thinks it's the stupidest idea ever. When you have some javs and wbs saying it's even bad, then you know it is because usually they don't give two shits.

As per 2 terrs in LB: if you're going to do it you had damn well put it into TWBD like right now. How can you offer a strategy in TWLB that isn't available in TWBD? Any intelligent squad that can qualify for LB, thus excluding Diso, is only going to play 2 terrs if they have the oppritunity to use it in a TWBD setting first.

I'm personally indifferent to the idea of 2 terrs because I don't think anyone is going to use it. Do any of you kids remember a couple years back when they let 2 terrs be used in ?go base? Caps added two terrs about 40 percent of the time for the first week and then never again, and I don't think the removal of two cram blocks is going to encourage adding another terr. (Although consider: the left side of your cram just got shit on while the right side is still alive, if you have a terr on each side you could just attach to the left rather than cross the cram to even.)

The two blocks that were removed didn't really change much, people are still playing the same tactics (if not camping more) and it really just makes for more flagroom battles.

My overall opinion: stop bitching about two terrs because no one's going to use it (unless their opponent is really shitty.) If you're going to change the rule, though, you need to implement it in TWD first to not only give squads the oppritunity to implement and practice the idea but to give staff insight into what effect, negative or positive, it would have and wether or not that's what you want for the leage.

And also: Is the weasel going to be the small weasel or the big one? Because I actually think that a small weasel would have a much bigger effect with 6 ship changes than two terrs.

what i see with 2 terrs...bram talked about with 1 terr all it did was camp, 2 terrs? where does the 2nd terr have that it can go? its not gonna rush in wildly cuz thats just doa central...the current flag room is too small for 4 terrs imo...i dont think it should be implemented this season, you gave us a good 3 months or so to get used to the no blocks in cram map. now youre giving us a month away to use something that changes basing completely? i think it should be implemented into TWD right after TWL, give us more than a month with it. like i said, most TWLB squads dont 8v8 enough in a month to get the full effect of 2 terrs

Actually the people you are referring to are the same 10 people replying in this thread, I dont play the game? Im pretty sure im playing the same game you are IMO.

Idk why people have to bitch and whine if it doesnt even effect them. Yes mega theres an option for 2 terrs. If you or your oppenent doesnt use them, then wtf does it even matter.

As far as letting it in twbd, it would probably be wise so teams, can try it out for themselves.
